The prophetic Ike

It was as if he was speaking to our time. I have never seen this video. Thank you to my hetero life mate for turning me on to this speech. I was glued to it and captivated by how much it applied to out current state of affairs. Please I ask each of you to view the entire speech. Eisenhower's fairwell speech from January 17,1961.

I'm super, thanks for asking

Breaks and vacations always mess up my blogging Chi. A week with my tribe turns into two weeks off of the grid. I sped to my coffee shop this morning to force my self to sit down and let it all out. I am in a gay mood and so this morning Realism will take on the issue of gay marriage. Since the supreme court has been handed this social hot potato, let's see who we can offend or challenge as I like to say.

Do I care if an adult wants to sleep with someone of the same sex, yes and no. If they are consenting and not infringing on any of my rights and freedoms l, I could care less. If the gay movement as a whole is attempting to influence society in general to endorse an emotion, we have a problem. A very profound question I heard yesterday and I was listening to numerous talks came from a local Dallas host. The host asked the lesbian lady asking for support of gay marriage why she felt gay marriage should be considered constitutional? The teacher posed issues of inheritance and health insurance and other benefits provided for married couples and not to gay partners. Realism supports civil unions. Any persons who are adults and willing to enter into an agreement to take care of one another should be provided with the opportunity to share their benefits with the person they declare their mate. Civil unions provide for a safe legal structure for inheritance, property rights and benefits in an orderly fashion.

The host agreed that civil unions should be the way to go for society in general. Then the lady stated that she should be allowed to marry whoever she loves. The host asked, "why should the state be involved with regulating emotions"? The poor caller stammered and stuttered not being able to answer the question. Why should we regulate emotion? Should the supreme court of the United States begin to create into the constitution a right to feel a certain way? Surprisingly the question came from Justice Sotomayor. If the states are not allowed to regulate marriage as an institution, what or where are the limits? Is polygamy permissible? Incest? The states have laws that are constitutional concerning the marriage or procreation between close relatives to protect the gene pool and the fetus. Do these disappear with the approval of gay marriage? Sotomayor has a point, the slippery slope. The state in Realism has ever right to protect the genetic potential of it's future citizens. There are scientific studies that show the potential harm genetically and psychologically to a child of incest or close relation. If the supreme court rules for gay marriage, does it not also cease to protect the promotion of the institution of marriage to create future citizens to perpetuate the state? Without outside assistance a male or female gay couple cannot procreate. The gay couple does not naturally further the state. Yes we do have advances in the ability of these unions to conceive using surrogates or donors, however how long could the state last if this became the norm?

Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. This is what the state says it will provide. Can a gay couple pursue happiness without the society sanctioning it's union as marriage? The answer is yes with civil unions. Would civil unions give them the liberty to protect and provide for their partners? Yes. Would civil unions allow gay couples to live their lives and be the most productive citizens they can be, sure. We are slowly erroding the ability of citizens of each state to determine what they feel is beneficial. Let each state decide if they feel gay marriage is appropriate for it's citizens as did California. We have to remember that even though we may not look like it lately, on paper we are a republic and republics give each state the right to self-determination.

In their "Right" mind

A few conservatives finally grew a pair and decided they had had quite enough of this overthrow of the US constitution by the Obama administration. Though the nomination of Brennan for the CIA top job may be a done deal, at least someone drew a line in the sand. Rand Paul and others made a conscious decision to at least tell the American people that would listen that we are in danger. That the current ruling class is no lover of the constitution or the bill of rights. After it took half an hour to finally get Eric Holder to say no to droning citizens for not imminent terrorism within our border, you should have your eyes wide open. Liberal you should understand that they are coming after you too. I guarantee that you left winger in general do not fully agree with everything that has been going on and that makes even you the enemy. Obama demands full allegiance to his manifestoes and sees any deviation and treason. The Senators that stood up yesterday may be the lone voices crying out of the wilderness for the return to the constitutional rule of law. I hope not.
Where did it all go wrong? I believe that we allowed our freedoms to slip away for decades. It may go as far back as Woodrow Wilson and the creation of progressive thought and it's implementation with FDR to pinpoint where we lost interest in our rights. Once progressive began attacking the "individual" as barbaric or old fashion or selfish, it began to erode our spirit to fend for ourselves. The pursuit to legislate helping our fellow man instead of encouraging it created the slippery slope that has now lead to a full blown Socialist takeover of our republic. The drone issue goes back to the desire of progressives to make it evil to have individual liberties. That the "State" and the "people" are more relevant than the one. The individual is the core of what makes our constitution work. The rule and rights within it are for the man or the women to exercise on a separate basis and not as part of a collective or hive. Even the judicial system was based on giving the "One" protection from group accusations.
I watched a few minutes here and there of the filibuster. I was very interested in what was occurring in social media. I saw a five fold increase in the traffic on Rand Paul's Facebook and Twitter feeds. People who even admitted that they were not fans of his were applauding that someone has finally publicly called out the administration on the Senate floor and exposed what they are doing to your individual rights and freedoms. This country cannot survive without the engine that is the individual. If we look back at the greatest achievements of man or in America, they came from the sweat and work normally of one person. Too many chefs spoil the broth or however you say it, it is the guy in the garage (Gates), in the college dorm (Cuban) that has willed America to be better. Whether for fame or greed the individual is what keeps us free. Once we give up our ability to be on our own, we surrender to tyranny and mediocrity. Today let's change "United we stand, Divided we fall" to "I will stand on my own and fall free".

Defiance is courageous

I cannot remember a time I truly just gave up and conformed. As a teen I lived in a neighborhood of aspiring rap artist, I listened to Black Sabbath and became a punk. My mother raised us in Santeria, I became a Pentecostal. When I joined the Air Force I quickly became aware of those that rose through the ranks quickly were the suck ups. I chose to be me in spite of being in uniform. Even when I was a police officer I went against the grain and rebelled against my superiors. I questioned policies. I didn't write all the tickets I could have. I went as far as in 2003 to become the host of a talk show that exposed the police department, this while still a cop. The administration could do nothing. I was one of the public voices of the police union and had legal protection against their retaliation. My whole life has been one of not following the easy path but making my own trail for good or bad I can say I have been my own man.

Since life has prepared me or shaped me to be defiant I feel that I am at the perfect time in history. I look around and see so many of the people in my party and political affiliation just give up. The world compromise is the word of the year for many of them. The have bowed to the Obama monarchy and are falling in line one by one. Conservatives seem to want to save their jobs in Congress rather than stand up for what Conservatives or Libertarians believe. I find it so emasculating to kiss the ring of another man. I do not think of myself as someone of great influence or credibility. What I do think that if I can just influence one of you to stand up to the radical changes that are fundamentally transforming this nation to a Socialist union, I have fulfilled my calling. We have to start having the courage to lose a promotion, to lose a friend, to lose family because the original ideas in our constitution and how they will influence our children's future are worth it.

Look around and listen. Most people who are followers of Obama are even quietly questioning some of his most recent views. Yesterday the AG Eric Holder confirmed as I thought in my previous post "Droned to death", that a US citizen could be killed with a drone strike within the US borders in violation of Posse Comitatis. This administration has now taken the power away from our court system to try an individual for his crime. Habeus Corpus died yesterday. Now if you are suspected of a plot or planning of an act against the US instead of the FBI raiding your home or a traffic stop, a predator drone could launch a hellfire missile while your own your way to pick up your kids at school or while you have your kids, remember though he was a terrorist Al-Sawahiri had his sixteen year old son in his car that was attacked. I don't want to hear oh that was overseas. The United States has a very decent rendition program that has been operating for many years he could have been scooped up by a SEAL team and brought to justice very easily.

If enough of us begin to take a stand even if we begin to suffer we can stop this madness as Bob Woodward called it. This can be as little as writing a letter to an elected official to getting off your ass and getting into office. Just like the Obama machine we need to do some community organizing and unifying our opposition to the new King George. The Tea party, the Libertarians, the Conservatives need to form a new continental congress because I believe that there are many similarities with what is occurring today and the Coercive Acts of 1774. Research that act and leave a comment.

The Chicken Little Cabinet

If we were to believe DHS secretary Janet Napolitano, the sky should be falling. Everywhere around us there should be destruction and despair. The borders according to them are unprotected. Hint, they let two thousand illegal immigrants go, so it's ICE's doing. Airports are a place of chaos and confusion. At the time of this writing most major airports are just fine. Yet there seems to be enough money flowing to buy twenty seven hundred light armoured personnel carriers, for what? This was reported on Drudge this morning and confirmed. Is anyone really feeling or will feel and effect of this fake crisis? I doubt it. What is it about the politician that drives him to be so untrustworthy? Can anyone remember a politician that you could take at face value what they said about anything? Man alot of questions this morning.

What you can expect from the administration in the next days and weeks is a barrage of daily if not minute by minute updates about how the sequester is damaging the nation. The main stream media will be the propaganda arm and never really challenge the government on the true facts of what is really happening. The media are currently engaged in eating their own if they get out of line with the current talking points handed down by Obama. The true reporting of what is occurring is happening around the globe in blogs like Ricantotheright©. Though you all know my slant, I am a call it like I see it kinda guy. So support your bloggers worldwide and click a time or two. The true journalist is dead, gone. Everyone wants to be the next Hannity or Cooper or Maddow. This benefits the ruling parties because they cease to be challenged.

When the sky really falls you will hear it for real here.
