Che would be proud

It was written into the senate rules for a reason in 1789. Thomas Jefferson continued his enforcement of checks and balances into the legislative body by creating the filibuster rule in the congress. Constantly the founding fathers sought to make sure that one part of our government or one party could not lord their rule over the country. The Democrats are no fans of the founding fathers or founding principles. Liberals and progressives see the Declaration of Independence and other original legal principles as outdated archaic prose from a time long dead.

  In our form of government this is the beginning of a Coup d'etat that Che Guevara would be proud of. The public and poorly informed Americans probably just shrugged their shoulders and went about thier day. Political nerds like myself shivered at the amount of sheer force now the party in power holds.

Silly conservative my lefty friends must be thinking as they read this addition of ricantotheright. The question was asked time after time yesterday, what happens when Republicans are in power and they want some uber radical ultra right-wing judicial nominee that wouldn't be objective? What happens now is that each party will pick the extremes. Each party will go for the jugular with its elections for these positions the filibuster process would have stopped. Washington, already partisan, will become a political war zone with each party trying to balance the scales with more and more hyperpartisanship. Oh where are the Libertarians when we need them?

Rumors this morning concerning the delay of the individual mandate makes all of these moves suspect. The left is using the ancient tactic of bread and circuses to appease the masses. Even if the website and the mandate is delayed, the killing strokes for the economy and our nations healthcare system will still come around eventually. Does anyone out there still believe Obama has our best interest at heart? Anybody?

What we do in this life echoes in eternity

What a line from the Russell Crowe movie Gladiator. The phrase does ring true. Whatever so little or so much we do carries forward and impacts our lives. If the action is significantly bad or good it can infect those around us. That leads to my point here.

One of the defects of liberal thought is to do first for the greater good inspite knowledge of possible collateral damage. I can point to numerous pet projects throughout the decades that liberals have begun "Causes" against and ended up with disastrous results. Nancy Pelosi famously said,"you have to pass the bill to know what's in it", suggesting that she was comfortable being ignorant of how Obamacare would impact Americans that were not needing her parties help. As the Pandoras box that the ACA is begins to open, we are just beginning to see how the progressive mindset can damage those it never intended to help.

Dr. Thomas Sowell wrote in his book "The Anointed", about how environmentalists in the 70's made it their cause to rid the world of DDT. Long story short the banning of DDT caused hundreds of thousands to die from starvation in Africa due to crop failures from insects. Humans died for the sake of bald eagle eggs in North America. To me it's not shocking that the presidents press secretary Jay Carney would just dismiss the fact that five percent of the population was losing it's affordable health insurance. The have to crack a few eggs to make an omelet to the tenth degree.

I was asked the other day by a group of men here where I right my blog if I thought that these failures are glitches or purposeful. I didn't think twice and said they were done on purpose. Most people don't know the story of how Obamacare was passed. The dirty change of events that caused it's passage. I just learned of it myself from former Massachusetts Senator Scott Brown interview on Hannity. When the Senator won the special election in 2010 the Massachusetts legislature held up his confirmation for 21 days. Fight after fight to get him seated the Democrats delayed it and got enough votes to ram Obamacare home.

We have to begin preparations in our own lives to combat and defeat this liberal agenda. Last year I wrote about being active politically by simply speaking to and trying to convince friends and family. That is now imperative of us all to start that process in earnest. 2014 is around the corner and libertarians and conservative and us realist must win.

I told you so

I told you so. My lefty friends haven't said a damn thing in nearly a month because of the calamity that has occured. I and nearly every other right winger from moderate to tea partiers for years have been saying we are sunk if we pass this crap, but you bleeding hearts just had to ram it up our back sides. I hate you liberals a little today. I always felt you were just misunderstanding or misinformed. No! You mostly are people with a God complex who believe you know better than the collective. You want to lord your anointing over America and all the while you are wanting to enslave us. Well the it's over Lefty, it's over. Your signature legislation has thrown the most powerful country in the world into a shit storm economically and now constitutionally. I won't forget you all that supported these changes. I think it will take our country at least a decade to get over this hit, and liberal you're to blame.

Ok wow that felt good. Sorry just had to vent after seeing millions of Americans now suffering without health insurance I had to let it out. Now what should Republicans do. Not a thing. We cannot get entangled in the mess by possibly trying to legislate this away. There is no other way to fix this than to repel the law all together. There are no constitutional repairs that can occur now that the law is in place. What the president did yesterday was totally out of his legal bounds to do. There will be court challenges and the president will lose. Republicans have to have some thick skin and ask the American public to wait just one year, give them them the house and the senate in a veto proof majority and all will be fixed.

I have heard of numerous plans to replace Obamacare that I like. Adding a catastrophic policy pretax to a Health Savingsa account. Allowing employers and individuals to buy health insurance across state lines. Lessen regulations that keep insurance companies from competition. Auditing and enforcing fraud in Medicare and Medicaid and Tort reform. That doesn't take 23,000 pages. Oh amd read it so you know what's in it.

Veterans, the true citizens.

I'm a huge sci-fi fan. One of my favorite movies is the little bit cheesy Starship Troopers. The movie was set in a futuristic earth at war with an alien race. The world was run like a Sparta of the future where citizenship was gained through military service. Only those that had served or are serving were referred to as citizens. I hear the book is better as always I'll have to read it one day. I guess I want to challenge what our current definition of what a citizen is. With all the attacks on our sovereignty by illegal aliens and the current administrations possible amnesty of these said illegals is just being born here in America enough anymore?

The constitution defines a citizen under the 14th amendment, "as persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside". Is that enough anymore? Should we require more if our citizens than just existence? We live in a country where our children and neighbors feel more and more entitled. Every other responsibility is being referred to as a right. Since Obama has taken power more and more Americans have forgotten the Kennedy speech where he challenged Americans to, "ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country".

My friends birth no longer serves as a right to American citizenship. People find a better feeling of responsibility when they have "Skin" in the games. Homeowners take care of their homes better than renters. Business owners take care of their businesses better than the worker. The true citizen is the veteran who has exchanged his comfort, safety and well being to afford us these rights so many feel they so deserve. My idea would propose military service for all able bodied men and women of appropriate military age.

There are precedents for this in countries around the world. The veteran is the one who helps keep the peace so we may do what we all consider normal. The veteran has worked for below minimum wage if you divide his pay by the hour. The veterans have done the dangerous and the deadly and have proven their loyalty and love of this country. The tremendous fighting force and citizenry we would have if everyone went into the military for a time to learn a skill or trade and basic self defense and weapons training. I don't see a disadvantage to this type of system. Instead of high school grads running around with no skills or resumes,  there'd be tens of thousands with some sort of training and time in the real world. The veteran should be the first in line. The first considered. The true hero you point your children to.

Nothing to say

Writers block. I've rarely had it but today seems a little harder to get the words out. Ricantotheright has been cranking out about ten to fifteen post a month for over two years. The current state of affairs globally has given me so much material to use. I've given opinion after opinion time after time. We've been complimented by friends in both sides of the political spectrum and even been banned by Blogger. Even though we are not at the end of the year I wonder where Ricantotheright should go from here. We've put out a political philosophy (Realism) and defined it, toyed with it. I've lashed out at both parties, political figures. What would I like it to become for you?

I'd like to see more interaction from you all. More followers and confrontation. I don't and won't shy away from a good argument or fight. A good amount of us prefer to run from a fight. I feel you really get to see the strengths and flaws of who you are when you're in a scrap. With the current state if bullying we need to show our future generation how to not only take a punch but how to give one. It would be amazing if I could get all of Ricantotheright' s forty-six or so countries to challege each others systems and beliefs here. Remember that Ricantotheright is also on Facebook so you can feel free to like us there and share the post I also.

Ricantotheright is going to become a brand, that's already in process. Our logo is complete and in the new year it will become our new identity on here and on products. The brand will help support a cause near and dear to me, Autism research. As the father of a child with Autism it makes sense to help organizations that could help my child in the future. Plus it goes with what American companies do everyday without the government prompting them, they share with the community.

I see Ricantotheright branching out solo soon. When that happens I will make sure of a smooth transition where I know I will get more than six hits the first day. Stay tuned is what I have to say. The silence is deafening

For years my liberal friends have been yapping and defending the indefensible. Singing the praises of their lord and master Barry Sotero. There was not a thing he could do or say that could be called into question. Even if every other rational human being on the planet could question his majesty, well then he was toi busy or had little knowledge of what had taken place. If you want to read a little more on that you can go to my post "America's first not my fault president". What I have noticed since the disaster that is healthcare.gov, is silence. I have tried all my old tricks to get a rise in them but still silence.

M.O. for your typical lefty, they love to defend far away causes and stances. The lefty creates poster children positions and cry and make heartfelt commercials. What the lefty can't do is say they were wrong. I think they display similar traits to the borderline personality. The talking points are unorganized so far. As I've heard nothing online, I hear liberals trying to pass the buck to computer nerds and insurance companies. Nobody is buying it. The lies are starting to fracture even the most loyal of Obamazombie, the media. There have been some hard hitting real journalitic pieces put out by nearly every tree hugger outlet. Why, because it's hitting them in the pocket. The democrats believed and drank the Kool-Aid and now are finding out it's poisoned. Obamacare is hitting every American in the billfold and money talks so Obama's BS about keeping your plan or saving money is walking.

Though my friends aren't talking and won't admit to being wrong. The old guard of the Republican party is not doing any better. The McCain's and McConnells are still up for wheeling and dealing with the left on immigration. What we should be doing is elevating the rhetoric that Ted Cruz used during his filibustet through talking points and commercials and driving it home to the public that we warned them, we were right. Everything that the Tea party and it's elected officials have said since 2009 about this administration have come to pass. Now it's time to give them more back up in most houses. We shouldn't be silent, it's not golden.

When I posted the number I thought I miss placed the comma. That number seems so unreal. Imagine the top ten or more cities in the US completely filled with the unemployed. It's the dirty little secret in th economy no one wants to tslk about. People have been unemployed in areas for over three years. The underemployed have had part timr jobs for longer. Almost seven years of he Obama reign and nothing has improved.

My liberal friends either are not talking about the economy or have drunk so much of the Kool-Aid that they really don't sound as if they live in the same country. Yesterday information was released that showed that 49% of the US population is now receiving some kind of government assistance. Almost 3 trillion dollars have been spent on welfare since the administration took over. No where in America do you see major announcements of super heated economic growth. There are some signs that oil and natural gas are picking up in the Dakotas but with the lefts hate o fossil fuels there is little guarantee that will continue.

The majority of job postings I see are for part time jobs. Obamacare has now made hiring full time personnel a bankrupting enterprise. Obamacare also works at alienating businesses who have a faith based lean in their principles. Throw on top of that the ever expanding amount of new regulations drawn up daily that strangle growth and invention in America. The Obama regime has taken an axe to the risk takers who don't play by the rules to invent what our future needs. The oppressive regs are forward looking to trample the next Jobs or Gates.

How incredibly embarrassing for the children of these parent. Imagine not only losing but then your weak willed parent has to file a I'm a sore loser conplaint with a school district. My liberal friend Sal said it best, "If they'd stop given everyone a trophy these kids wouldn't grow up so weak". I have children that play at every level of competitive sports and every once in a blue moon I compete. We have all won and lost. The loss was the teaching opportunity. The loss was the moment you grew and got better. Imagine constantly rescuing your children and never letting them experience failure. You would wipe out have the visionaries of our time. Edison failed thousands of times. Einstein told he was a faulure at math.
Cuban dropped out of college. These men and women who have failed thought about quitting but knew the failure was a chance to come back stronger. Shame on these parents.

Lala land

I am real beginning to believe that I don't live in the same dimensional plane as my fellow Americans who are liberals or left-wing or progressive. String theory suggest that there may be an infinite number of realities within space time. I think that this is the problem, Conservatives, Libertarians, Tea partiers just exist in an alternative reality where OUR atoms do not like being told what to do. I see the Liberal as the one in chains and trapped by his worship and devotion to government. These modern liberals are a far cry from the free love, free living hippies of the sixties.

What makes a person want to be controlled? What within almost half of the US population make them just give up freedom after freedom for a piece of bread? There must be a genetic defect within those personality types that make them want to be passive and compliant. I see it in nature with lower species of creatures, like insects where there are individuals within those species that are created to do specific roles and do not try to do any other. Do these liberal individuals even with freewill, actually choose conformity or are they just chromosomally destined to follow? 

I don't know why but I want to figure them out. I want to understand their method and madness. There is such a dualism within them. The liberal hates racism but they are the first to use race as an excuse. The liberal says they are open minded but are the first to attack opposing views as evil. The liberal loves to say they are compassionate but are the first to use violence to further their cause. I am starting to pity the people around me that hold to the left-wing plank and platform. Yet I have to keep them at arms length because they are potentially dangerous to liberty and peace.

A coward dies a thousand deaths

The party of giants like Lincoln and Roosevelt, men who fought wars for what was just and right are turning in their graves. What the Republicans (I use that term loosely) did was one of the most cowardly political acts I have seen since Obama bowed to the Saudi Sheikh. Modern day politics seem to take absolutely no courage to perform. On either side, giving in, is now seen as a victory. The left encourages Americans to become more dependent on the government. The right is now encouraging Americans to give in even when you know it's for the best.

Shakespeare was right what is happening now is the act of cowards dying day after day in the battle to save our country from tyranny. What nobility would have been displayed if the party had held the line and gone over the cliff that was the manufactured default precipice. The courage was not to go to the edge, the courage would have been to jump.

There were a handful of brave politcal soldiers in both the Senate and the congress but I won't lump you braves into the party. Those men now represent the thin gray line that may keep Obamaism from conquering our nation and turning us into New Europe. As Senators and Congressmen posted they were immediately attacked. Not by left-wing trolls, but by loyal right-wing followers angry at their lack of guts and fight.

Time and time again I saw statement about a Republican saying they were leaving the party or starting a new party. My suspicion is that these disgruntled Republicans will begin to fill the void and the ranks of what Democrats hate the most, Tea Party members. Lefties may be cheering now that they have destroyed the Republican party for years to come but what I see coming is a backlash of even more Ted Cruz like figures replacing the Rhinos in congress. This new breed I guarantee you won't blink. They should have left a sleeping Tiger lay.

Some might think that it's time to regroup. I tell you that it's time to plug in. If you're as angry and disappointed as I am, make a decision to channel that anger towards activism. We've spoken about before on Ricantotheright, a letter,  an e-mail, a blog. Start small, gain your strength and speed then get involved in the process. This won't happen overnight but if we Realist begin to exercise our politcal muscles in a few years we willbe strong enough to turn this dangerous Socialist red tide.

How low can they go?

I love my Ricantotheright fans. I enjoy that they actively contribute information that helps create content. I've received tips and articles and comments and I thank you all. This morning I got a report of a Facebook page run by and unknown Democractic operative. I won't give the name, I don't want to give them anymore popularity than they are already receiving. A little back story. My hetero lifemate told me that she had been seeing this older Vets and just regular citizens waving flags and holding protest signs over our local over passes. There was one that really effected her. The vet as she described him looked to be old enough to have been in Vietnam, holding his American flag over the overpass in silent protest.

I get tagged by a fan on Facebook and it goes to Democratic fan page. More power to them they want their guy in and their philosophy promoted cool, first amendment right? As the read the post I became angrier and angrier. The page moderator was asking for volunteers to help her in a counter protest against the vets on the overpasses. What truly pissed me off was what they were asking their followers to do. The way this group of left wing libertards wanted to attack the vets and other protestors was to make up signs suggesting that our vets had mental illnesses and their political position was based on their sickness. They were going ti make signs and stand next to our heros saying,"Aliens tell me Obama was born in Kenya". The leader of this democratic group wanted the follower to dress with aluminum foil in their heads also.

You may not think it much, but having worked with cops who were so traumatized by the streets and having family members who developed serious mental illness due to combat it wasn't funny. Imagine this men gave everything of themselves except their lives and all the democrat knows how to do it mock and humiliate the person who has the courage to so what they could not, defend our country. This man came home in the seventies to subhumans like this person to their crys of "baby killer". I thought those times had come and gone here in America.

I really don't

I'm sorry but I do not personally know anyone affected by the government shutdown or slimdown as it's being referenced. I may have a friend on Facebook that commented that their family is being impacted because the father is a government worker that has been furloughed. Losing a job or being laid off is frightening. I have been their back in 2010 when my investment business just could not longer hold on and I closed it's door. You go through all the stages of grief and if you're a man or woman of character you make it work.

During my time of unemployment I created. I came up with an apparel line and Ricantotheright grew up and expanded. I had to decide what I truly loved in life in the way of work. I decided politics and JiuJitsu were where I wanted to focus my energy. Neither are easy. As a politician I'm a uber conservative Latino and I am in a pretty much conservative state so little opportunity but I just received my first politcal appointment so it's a start. In my martial arts career that is still years away to achieve that honor of endurance, the black belt. In the last three years I have reinvented myself. I changed to survive.

Our country didn't need this type of radical reinvention like I had to go through to survive the economic downturn. Just like me it just needed to remember what it had always loved. Our country has always loved free enterprise and hard work. Our country has always loved people to be free especially from government. Damn it we fought war after war just so others were not forced into doing what their governments said.

What our country truly cherished is that rebel who raised his fist, finger or firearm at anyone that tried to control them. That's a true American, a risk taker, a failure time after time never quitting and if he failed he died trying. We are seeing that reawakening. We saw a sprinkle yesterday at the World War II memorial. On the Senate floor a couple of weeks ago. Little by little people are waking up.

I've said this already

What a difference ten months makes. This January I wrote two entries concerning our Cold Civil War here in America. I never once thought it would actually begin to take a physical turn. As the shutdown continues the administration is purposefully using law enforcement in it's fight to make Americans feel the pain of this shut down. Veterans were arrested in NYC for crossing into Federally closed monuments. People around the country are being forced out of their homes and.businesses by Federal law enforcement. The president on down has begun to use language that could potentially expose those in the opposition to violence. This ratcheting up of rhetoric and physical violence WILL bring out the fringe elements of both parties and a tragedy may soon occur.

I always hoped I'd be wrong. I underestimated the presidents inflexibility and dogmatic nature. Maybe I thought that somewhere in his life long indoctrination as a Socialist/ Communist through his family, friends, teachers and mentors, their would still be an American. I define an American as someone who does not like to be told what to do by government, and only asks for help when there is an extreme emergency. An American is creative and innovative. They want to be free to do whatever they please as long as it doesn't hurt their fellow neighbor. Americans like to own stuff, build stuff, sell stuff without government looking over their shoulders. I fear that this part of the president may not exist.

My esteemed audience you must come to the conclusion that we are not just disagreeing with each other any more. That we are at war with each others core principles and beliefs as we were during our civil war. We are a divided country and a divided government and Obama has done nothing but fanned the flames and spiked the football at those who voted against him. This attitude is his downfall. As of today he has fallen to a 37% Gallup approval rating. Obama sounds vengeful and arrogant. Even our dead heros are being treated disrespectfully by the administration after he signed a law to pay our active duty their benefits he orders the Pentagon to deny the death benefits to our fallen. This is not the beginning of what he will do to make us hurt.

No lube

Many details about the conparison of the current shutdown and the previous seventeen are starting to emerge. The most blatant are that in the last shutdown any of the memorials that are now closed were completely accessible ti the public. The ocean remained opened for business instead of being blocked by federal parks personnel. People and businesses who lived or worked on federal land continued to function normally. As of yesterday 83% of the government was up and running. The most blatant f you was how the federally run golf course was open, but the Armed Forces Network was shut down for the regular Sunday football coverage that our troops so look forward to. This morning after Fox sports anchor Howie Long commented about the practice and created a firestorm on social media, the Secretary of Defense ordered it reopen.

My Democratic friends just either refuse to see it or are accomplices. I guess all political adversaries point the finger at each other, but I'm going to give the finger to my fellow left wingers for using people as pawns. The constant use of events, horrible events, people and issues to further their destruction of their political opposites. At least they don't have the intelligence to be subtle. Yesterday a lefty friend of mind posted an article in the New York Times that suggested that the shutdown was planned by Tea Party types for months. I think I ended up posting a Sun Tze quote on his page about all warfare is deception. Unlike his president my friend thinks we can come to the table and talk. Obama says we can't so sorry buddy your president doesn't nees to listen to you anymore, he's in.

The practice of sticking it to Americans ro make this process more painful has already backfired on the Democrats. My daughtet told me yesterday that her high school friends who once lookes up to Obama are questioning him out loud. Young people are techno savvy and he's attacked the very core of where they felt safe. A kid told my daughter that he didn't know who the president was anymore. The conversation continued and they made statements like gone crazy or weird. I can just wonder what the parents of these young future liberals are saying about the commander in chief.

One of the things I have seen on social media are intelligent supporters of the current administration just out right lying about current issues. If you ask them about closures that are unjust they tell you nothings really closed. If you ask them about the troubles with Obamacare they tell you that everything went smoothly and they signed up and they're saving thousands. Maybe I can look at my left wing friends as courageous for wanting to go down with the ship as the.band continues to play.

Keep it closed

NSA, IRS, EPA. It is so relaxing now to know these destroyers of American freedoms are partially mothballed. There is a human cost to the shutdown with federal employees not receiving their paychecks, however we are waging a war against the continued growth in the power of the government. There is collateral damage during any kind of warfare even its waged nonviolently. Someone somewhere had to take a stand and be the David to this Obama Goliath of an administration. Life has gone on for the last couple of days as it had in the other seventeen government shutdowns. Let's discuss what life would be without huge parts of our government.

The IRS is closed. What would happen to America if we were to shutter it all. A bill goes through congress that ask every American that earns a living to send a percentage of their income in the form of cashiers check or money order by April 15. No FICA, no federal taxes coming out during the year. You keep what you earn and you contribute at the end. No tax code, no tax breaks, no tax forms. If you earn a check you pay. We'll figure out the percentage later. Two million bloated  salaries to IRS employees gone. Now they have to compete in the free market like everyone else. Thousands of buildings sold to private individuals and companies who will create opportunities not spy on them and smash their dreams. A postcard replaces tens of thousands of pages of job killing rules and regs. On that day the stock market jumps a thousand points. That April 15 the federal government announces a surplus and issues refunds to all Americans because it created a balanced budget.

EPA shuttered. No more targeted laws and regualtions that rob jobs and businesses of capitol through burdens and fines. Now the power of the purse through public pressure. You screw up water and land, the community stops buying your products and sues your company directly and the money goes back to the community.  The management of the land goes back to the lowest levels, states, counties, cities. No more building of tunnels that cost tens of thousands for the sake of three turtles. No more SWAT teams to inspect whole milk or unpasteurized milk producers.

The NSA. No more war like spying on the American people. Enough said.

Mia Culpa

One of the hardest things for any person is to admit fault. Pride is such a powerful master. Even in the smallest circumstances we struggle to just blurt out I was wrong. How much easier it would be to admit your mistake quickly and learn from it and move on. I so respect people that take an error in stride and man or women up and admit fault. I have never seen people more tortured by the possibility of saying they were mistaken than politicians. Do they have some mysterious organ that science has yet to discover that keep them from confessing their errors.

The majority of Obamacare is a huge mistake. Not having tested it was a huge mistake. Not doing the math right was a huge mistake. This is not like spilling a cup of coffee on yourself, this is job ending, life ending, changing America for the worse kind of mess up.  No one wants to admit anything is wrong. Even though the sky is falling in this case no one even wants to look up and move out of the way. The left is refusing to see the impact this legislation has already made on our economy. The majority of jobs created this year have been part time jobs because employers can't afford to keep their doors open because of the massive rise of healthcare due to ACA. Now there are even theories that the legislation was created to fail, and to injure our economy so Americans cry for a single payer system.

The public was wrong in thinking this man, Obama, could bring us together or rejuvenate our economy. The public should take responsibility for the greater racial divide we now have. Obama supporters have led us to a near civil war type sentiment in this country. County after county around the country is voting to susceed from their liberal states. The conservative media is under attack, the federal government is spying on everyone on the planet. There are more conspiracy theorists running around than ever before. This is not what you leftist wished for, or did you?

You try it. You all try to do what Ted Cruz did. Would you sacrifice your health, your family time, your reputation, to try to stop an oncoming crisis? On my radio show we had to do an hour of speaking and that wasn't even straight with callers and commercials. I remember being the one true conservative on the station coming home with this impending sense of doom. That for the stand that I took that day, something awful would happen. Sometimes that feeling would be there for days and days after wondering when the other shoe would drop. I just spoke from conviction amd from the heart and sometimes those words attack and offend others to the point they want revenge.

This morning as reported in Politico, Congressman Peter King (R-NY) has continued his attack of Senator Cruz because he is being attacked by conservative supporters from around the nation. What does the congressman expect? King has become the congresses McCain. All these rhinos want is to get along to get along. Politicians like king compromise not out of conviction but to keep the system intact and their political positions secure. We are in a time and place in our nation where no one on the right should be giving any quarter or taking prisoners. The fabric of our entire nation is being ripped apart our reputations are worth the sacrifice.

I sense the tide in turning, even if its just a ripple. Numbers and data and statistics are coming in from all over the country. Ted Cruz quoted them ad nauseam in his 21 hours filibuster. What is blowing my mind is that liberals are insisting that all those numbers from all those sources are wrong. How can a group be so blinded? What am I saying, history is littered with the bodies of followers of false leaders. The president said we'd pay $2500.00 less, now it's $7500.00 more. That we'd keep our doctors, hundreds of thousands are being kicked off their companies medical plans, doctors are quitting. Everyone would have insurance he said, 30,000,000 still won't have access. Shame on you all for being fooled twice.

As the blood flows

Another week another massacre by radical Islamist. A startling statistic came out this week. More people have been killed by Jihadist since 9/11 then in the 250 years of the Spanish Inquisition. The group responsible comes from Somalia but as the Kenyan authorities are suggesting are a multinational group some say including Americans. There are even unconfirmed witness accounts that a female British national is among the dead terrorists. The stories that emerge are horrific, with the very pregnant wife of a famed British architect being shot point blank after being unable to recite a verse from the Koran. The world is dripping with the blood of innocents, their lives snuffed out in Syria, Philippine, Indonesia, England and I could go on. The Muslim world clamouring for freedom to practice their faith and run their countries as they please make little efforts to defend or speak out against the killing of ethnic and religious minorities.

What does it say about a cause when a brutal dictator like Bashar Al-Assad protected Christians in his country better than the Jihadist that now claim to be freeing it? Name a massacre of Christians that occured during the Mubarak presidency initiated by the government of Egypt. I notice that the people of the Muslim faith bring up 9/11 as a reason they feel oppressed in our country. That since that gruesome day they have been presecuted. What America wants to see from our Muslim American brothers and sisters is a united call in public, on the news, in Mosque, in social media, that they are sick of the Jihadist and the killings and that they will clean up their faith and make it the faith of peace they are constantly saying it is. My question is, why hasn't that already happened?

I never understood why is death so necessary to so many major faiths? Submit or die has been used in the Christian faith as well as Islam? What finally ended it for Christianity? Since the Reformation there have been very little calls for violence to be used by Christians on nonbelievers. There has been Christians vs Christians violence as we saw for decades in Northern Ireland and even that has chilled. In the twelve years since 9/11 why hasn't there been a call for introspection within the global Muslim community? Even the Catholic have councils, though few and far between, to set dogma and policies and modernize their religion. How much more blood must flow before the moderates rise up to reign in the radicals that are creating a universal disdain in some cases for their faith? I do not think the world can take much more before there is a backlash worse than a dirty look on an airplane.

The walls are crumbling down

There is not a part of the liberal agenda that is not crumbling around them and us. Healthcare is imploding. Radical energy policy has caused over a thousand days of over $3.00 gas. Healthy school lunch by Patrick Ewing, I mean, Michele Obama caused districts to loose millions and children to go hungry. Gun grabs have failed and citizens are so angry that they have recalled their politicians and thrown them out on their asses. All of these events show the start of the American spring. I suspect this revolution will be won by the recall and not the rifle. The blood that will be shed will be due to the inability to quickly erase or defund some of the policies that the socialist were able to con the American people into passing.

That may be a good question to ask. What is the Obama body count? In the weak war on terror Obama has 73% of troop deaths under his watch. The Nobel Laureate decided that a stalemate in Afghanistan and drone strikes in Pakistan were the road to peace instead of victory. The health care reforms have caused 30,000,000 Americans to be without health insurance instead of the 25,000,000 that was said to exist under the previous system. Now death panels will.determine if you're worth saving. The push for alternative energy through wind turbines has caused the death of hundreds of species of birds of prey especially bald and golden eagles. Where's PETA when you need them? Eating quinoa probably.

Liberal ideals have destroyed entire cities with the largest municipal bankruptcy and the darling of liberal ideology, Detroit, now just a shell of its former self. When you look at cities and regions that have recently failed the common pattern is that of years of control under a liberal or Democratic local government.

The next big fall looks to be Chicago. With some of the toughest laws prohibiting second amendment rights as of today they are the deadliest city in America. The liberal fails to see the correlation between the criminal and the gun. No matter how many laws against guns you make the criminal will find a way to get a weapon to use against the weaponless.

These acts are deliberate. The goal of the left is to make things so intolerable that we surrender ourselves to the god of government. I've seen that before and it wore a symbol of peace.

They just don't get it

It's the mentally ill issue you stupid liberals. I just can't stomach the idiots like Piers Morgan and Diane Feinstein. Even before the evidence came out that the weapon used was a Biden approved shotgun, these haters of civil liberties were going after the AR-15. The FBI proved them wrong and they can't even admit they are wrong. Let there be no mistake there is going to be a call to disarm Americans by the left-wing of this country more than ever. The Neanderthal mayor of DC wad blaming thr tragedy on the sequester. This administration should be referred to as the shake your head presidency. During, freaking during the incident the stinking president had to attack the opposing party instead of postponing his speech and reflecting on the event.

This is the issue. If any of you have been reading since the beginning I spoke of the mental health shortfalls during the Sandy Hook tragedy. Again we have a person who had been mentally ill for a number of years, people knew and did nothing. Family, friends, co-workers had the clues right in front of them and failed to act. There were numerous times this guy should have been through the system and the system either failed or were fooled by the shooter. Since 2001 the shooter has been complaining that something was wrong. All the signs were there, no sleep, voices, paranoia. Let's not even start with the failure of law enforcement in Oregon and Texas to prosecute him for gun crimes.

Little attention on educating the public on recognizing the signs of mental illness will be given in the days and weeks to come. The media will turn their attention to an inanimate object. Little attention will be given to the fact that the family didn't pick up the signs of his downward spiral. Little attention will be given to the failure of the Navy and it's background check process. What will dominate the news will be a gun. How did he get it? What type? Who sold it? The left will drone on and on about a piece of metal and plastic.

What we need to do is pay attention to our families and loved ones. As the father of a special needs child who is prone to aggression I have become aware of what sets him off and have been able to predict and intervene before he overreacts. I seek the help of professionals to make sure we teach him the skills to help manage his emotions. The problem with our country is that we've stop caring about one another. Now I'm not saying it takes a village, but at least people start noticing each other again. The mentally ill can be managed but they need to be noticed. You can't do that with your face stuck to a tablet.

Obama blinked

It may be the worst loss in a stare down in history. President Obama was not only made to blink in his recent battle with President Putin, but he is now being slapped on the face with insults by the emboldened Russian strongman. Putin bold face calls our secretary of state a lair. Putin cautions us on American exceptionalism. Putin then creates a plan to assist Assad and end a strike. Game, set, match Russia. I hope none of you are even remotely surprised. KGB operative vs ACORN lawyer. Like Bucheche vs a white belt, Google it.

Now we are still the third most powerful nation on the planet, that has to count for something. China, Russia, United States, hey we are still on the podium. This is exactly where Obama and his zombies have wanted us all along. Reduce our strengths both economically and politically so as to bring us inline with the mediocre poltical players of Europe. To Obamaites there is no benefit to being the carrier of the big stick. The big stick offends and isolates and makes other nations feel bad. Just like the school systems want to punish our children into conformity at times, the current administration punishes anything that would make us greater or stronger than the rest of the world.

I heard a frightening quote from Mark Levin the other day. The conservative radio show host spoke about a plan to return America to it Federalist roots. The strategy was sound and methodical on how we can swing the pendulum back to the right through gaining conservative power through state legislatures. What scared me was his comment that will take us twenty-five years to accomplish. I do not think we can survive Socialism in America for a generation.

At least on a global perspective there is hope. Reports around the globe are coming in that liberal governments are being defeated by conservatives. Our shot to turn the tide is a year away. The chemo therapy we need now is defunding the monster that is Obamacare at least that will put us in remission long enough for a conservative transplant.

War sells, but who's buying?

The Obama war machine is now part of the presidents never ending campaign. The same mechanism that brought you "yes we can" and "foward" is now taking it to the next most violent level of "bomb Syria". Pundits on the major media blitz are now pushing the false narrative that the president never made the statement about a red line over the use of chemical weapons.

Obama even went to Sweden and said the now infamously stupid walk back, "I didn't set a red line, the world set the red line". I think the sheer embarrassment of this president is starting to even wear on the Democrats who are running completely away from the president on Syria. I wonder what genius came up with the new idea to have the Syrians give up their chemical weapons to international control. As of this morning it is being reported that Assad has accepted the Russian offer and will give it's weapons over for monitoring. The headline on Drudge is checkmate.

I remember even up to early this year when I was critical of the president on social media I would receive at least a couple of jabs from my liberal friends, now all I hear are crickets. The new liberal Goddess  Hillary, Hillary is starting to be adored and the church of Barry is losing it's members. How can the left survive the shear weight of scandel after after, mess after mess? I will give you the answer and you're going to think me a conspiracy theorist, poverty. Keeping the population constantly under the stress of unemployment, underemployment, dependency, illegal immigration, will keep his base attached and the rest of us too busy to pay attention.

Can anyone remember the last time a US president was schooled this well by a foreign leader? Carter? Well I give up I can't think of one. The country has rarely faced this kind of portrayal of weakness and ineptitude from a presidential administration. The are making policy and strategy as they go. The community organizer once said he would be willing to sit with anyone and resolve the worlds issues. The great healer has turned into the great heel.

Would they even thank us?

After so many years now going on decades, you don't really hear of any of the niddle eastern countries we have helped be greatful. When was the last time you heard from the prime minister or president of Iraq? When was the last time you heard from any of the dozens countries we send military, financial, or food aid say thank you? I can't remember not one time or read an article, a damn tweet would be nice.

Why are the people we help so ungrateful? I know why, because they know we'll just come to their rescue. The world has become one giant housing project living off American welfare. The first of the month rolls in and there comes the government cheese with no expectation of anything in return. Times they need to change.

We for decades continue to teach the world to not control themsleves. Oh don't worry Uncle Sam will take care of things if we get in a jam. Uncle Sam is getting older and he's sick right now and needs to go to rehab. I have to admit that we have to take a part of the blame for how co-dependant the world has become.

I understand that at one time we were the wealthiest nation, but those days are over for now and it's time to break up with the world for a bit. World it's us not you. We have to go on an aboriginal walk about and find ourselves again. I am not sure with the current wave of Socialism in America we will any time soon, but those who's eyes are open should try. Try to slowly get involved and effect change.

Disengagement is going to really hurt them and us. I predict that there will be more hate directed to us. Like we are not already the target of every radical on the planet. America it's time to be selfish. What we need to do is look within oursleves and our country for a time to focus on our people and our problems. Do you think Russia or China are going to come to our rescue?

War to save face?

I just can't believe what I have heard the last few days from both Republican and Democratic political leaders. Senator John McCain was the the most prominent leadet to raise a really idiotic issue. This very vocal group of Senators and Congressmen want to fo to war with Syria because if we so not it will "make us look bad" to our allies and the international community. I am not kidding you Google it if you want, but these men want to use our blood and treasure because we might look weak if we don't intervene when we said we would. When did America become beholden to what less developed countries or the world thinks of us?

It is such a laughable argument to hear the Secretary of State mention morals when it comes to human life. A man and an administration where their pundits thank God for abortion openly in speeches to Planned Parenthood and tens of thousands of viable humans are snuff out every year, buy American's morals would be questioned if we can't avenge 1500 killed in a civil war. Hypocites! Broods of vipers! Pictures and articles began to surface this weekend from the British press showing Kerry having a very cozy dinner four years ago with Dr. Assad and his wife in Damascus. Reports are coming in that this bromance occured over five separate dinners. Four years ago Hillary, Obama, Kerry and others referred to Assad as a reformer. Maybe Assad didn't give Kerry a kiss after their dates.

Saving face, what a crock. We don't even have that concept in our culture. Yet Senators Graham and McCain are beating their chest over America's reputation being preserved. The logic isn't even flawed, it's suspicious. Instead of focusing on evidence that would suggest that these chemical weapons could or are headed our way or against our allies, they promote a feeling. As I stated in last weeks article we need to end our reign as the world's police. We have done our share for over a hundred years and it's time for some r and r. A libertarian approach is needed in the Syrian crisis. That region needs to be responsible for it's own and we nees to focus on the rebuilding of our economic prowess.

If we begin to wean the planet from our tit of intervention and assistance, just like a child they will learn to fend for themselves. We always reserve the right to come back and spank them if they rebel. We need a break. Go to time out!

Do we or don't we? What are the advantages or disadvantages of either. Attacking Syria is not like the times we went into Iraq. No UN resolution so far. No Arab league or nation support. No support from the US populace. Now what we do have is an aggressive Russia sending warships to the region to thumb their noses or actually disturb our five destroyers in the region. Russia has been supplying arms and training and intel to the Assads forever so they have skin in the game when it comes to this regime staying in power.

To steal some comments from Ann Coulter this afternoon she stated that every limited war a democractic president has engaged our military in has ended with a disastrous effect to the region. Clinton in Somalia. Carter in Iran. Now with Obama funding and arming a relatively unknown opposition group that as we saw last month beheaded a Coptic priest to crys of Allah Akbar. So far the Obama led Arab spring is an utter failure. Prime example being the catastrophe we now have in Egypt. Now the president is literally posting our plans in the mainstream media who sees no problem now going into Syria unilaterally.

You left wing tree hugger hippies were crying about no proof of weapons of mass destruction in Iraq. There has been no proof of WMD's in Syria, but because your president made a ridiculously stupid red line in the sand he has to fire a few cruise missiles to save face. Russia all along is sitting and watching and waiting to call out Obama for the paper tiger he is and help Syria give the US a black eye. Before we jump on the we can take Russia bandwagon remember who Putin is. Putin was at the highest level of the the KGB this man knows how to play chess. Our president was a community organizer who barely knows how to play checkers.

We feel for the people of Syria who are suffering. Where are the Arabs who are outraged at this situation? Why not Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Kuwait, the UAE take care of it's own and protect Arabs and Muslims? Curious the silence.

Teach your children to be brave

I recently had an experience in my own life that made me realize that not all families teach their children to be brave. I really can't say a number per se, however I have noticed an ever growing number of young people who either have no sense of danger or care for their fellow man or the ones that fear everything. We are raising socio and psychopaths in ever growing numbers by not teaching empathy and respect for the lives of others. On the other side of the spectrum, we are raising the latter's future victims. Children who feel no sense of power or strength within themselves to overcome challenges in our violent world.

How do you raise a child to be brave? The easiest way is by example. As a retired  cop I have the ability to tell what we call "war stories" to my children of the different situatuons in my former career that I felt qualified for brave. My children grew up hearing of dads getting shot at or how he subdued some bad guy and daddy always won and got back home to them. What are the situations today a person who is not in a profession where that type of physical courage is called for can do to earn the title of brave from their children?

Defend them. If they have a bully or a an adult that doesn't seem to have their best interest in mind, confront them with your child present in rational, nonviolent manner. I have had times where my oldest son consistently complained about a teacher singling him out. Of course I gave the educator the benefit of the doubt until it became a daily complaint. I setup a meeting and sternly  confronted both my son and his behavior and the teacher and her actions. The two adjust their relationship and there were no other incidents foe the rest of the year.

Tell them. Tell them how you would defend them physically from the evil in the world. Most Americans have firearms and practice safe firearm defense. Even if you don't want to have Armageddon type drill with your family, tell you age appropriate children what your role will be in defense of the family if a natural disaster or if an intruder enters your home. If the children are of age you could make them part of the plan to defend the home incase you are incapacitated. I have no problems with both sexes of our children learning firearms defense, this notion of the female being the weaker vessal is mute when she is holding your AR-15.

Show them. Show them how to defend themselves. I am just not saying against physical danger. Teach your children how to defend their beliefs and points of view. Teach them not to be afraid of who they are and that to speak out or speak up about those beliefs is courageous. I am proud of the fact that my kids listened to me defend what I believed on the radio and now in writting. At every age there is an opportunity for us as parents to instill this dying character trait into our children. For those parents that do you will find that your children will most likely end up being the future leaders and movers amd shakers in our world. Our world needs the brave more than ever.

The summer that never ends.

Been a long summer. Not just in my life but in the life of our nation. I have a bunch of kids and they all had needs and wants and breaks from camp that kept me away from delivering Ricantotheright this summer consistently. Most likely with my life changes it will be that way for the foreseeable future ie maybe more kids. For now until this school year ends enjoy your more normal amount of ricantotheright, let's dig in.

Murphy's law must have been voted on and amended to our constitution when Barry Sotero took over. I cannot remember a time when so many things went wrong for America for such a long period of time. Over and over in the news this summer it has been scandal after scandal. If it were just partisan politics I would call it but real harm to the American way of life is being perpetrated by this activist administration. Starting from the Zimmerman debacle to Snowden the NSA and IRS and now a poiible war with Syria. American's cannot catch their breaths due to the continued unemployment and now companies are trying to eliminate full time employees to not be penalized but the nightmare that is Barrycare. The presence of Chuck Hagel as Defense Secretary does not inspire much confidence so I do not see a positive outcome in the Middle East for us.

A perfect storm is brewing for our nation. If we just make one more misstep we are going to hurt like never before. There are so many avenues where we could screw up and really cause some generational pain. The problem is few people care either because they are numb to the constant everyday battle or they just don't care. These robots look like human beings but are really not alive. They wake they eat, the deficate. These androids then go to work come home and the process starts all over. Never once getting involved or looking around them at the deeper events that are occuring around them that could use their voice. America needs Americans to start to pay attention and pick up the constitution and read it. I realized yesterday how little I knew when Mark Levin started educating his audience on the show on how the states have the power to overturn and law or regulation that places an economic burden on the states. If 3/5th of the states legislatures vote against the law or regulation it's gone. The judical or executive branch can't do a damn thing to stop it. I had no idea that existed.

I learned that though Obamacare was ruled a tax by the Supreme court so vis a vie constitutional, it is unconstitutional because it was not made public in it's final form for 30 days to the public. I had no idea. What other rights and lawd is this government taking away from us just out of sheer ignorance? I know what you're saying, who has the time. How many Candy Crush levels do play a day? How about glancing at the Bill of Rights and the constitution with it's amendments and substitute 1 level a day? Imagine what a constitutionally educated populace would do? No more being suckered by slick con men like Obama and his crew. No more being told what to think and do by a media with an agenda. No more government agencies practicing acts of tyranny on travel, food, education. That moment in our country would be like Nio being pulled into the Nebuchadnezzar and Morpheus greeting him into the real world. Your eyes will be open. Wake up!

Who to believe

One of the things oldet folks miss is being able to trust. Things like "I give you my word", and a promise with a handshake are a thing of the past it seems. In our personal lives and professional lives the last almost eight years have been every man and women for themselves. Nowhere is this seen more than in current American politics. A politicians word is automatically taken as a lie. Politically stated promises especially on yhe campaign trail are brushed aside automatically as bluster. There seems to currently be an epidemic of lying about one's sexual adventures as in Spitzer, Weiner.

When I lived in Tennessee in the early 90's a young republican ran for congress. I can't remember his name and he may even still represent the state. When the candidate felt that his might actually have a chance to win he called a news conference. The move was poltical gold. The future congressman let out every skeleton in the closet. Told about drugs alcohol, rehab, marital issues and how he paid for those as a young man learned from the mistakes and started a business that became successful in spite of having done all those potentially disqualifying acts. To my amazement the man won, having received the sympathy and respect of the public for showing them he struggled just like they did.

I certainly respected that. If I were to ever run I would have to have a reality show just to have the time to get the mass grave of things I have done out. I expect those that represent me to be real. I understand you're human and you might have to spank your kids or have a fight with your wife, that's life. I wish that we the public would stop trying to put people in office we feel are above reproach. I don't trust a squeaky clean individual. I find something abnormal with not having a few scars or phobias. These men and women we send up there should be like us. Imagine the mom or dad who's family member got sick and had to file for bankruptcy, that person understands insurance and the need for reform.

Honesty and purity are two different things. We keep wanting our elected officials to be pure instead of honest. I want honest. You cheated, got caught, confess, in a real way. Don't suggest you have some psychological problem because you wanted some strange, men get it. Sure there are behaviors and acts we can't tolerate of our representatives, but imagine how little a guy who's let it all out can be pressured or blackmailed. I want a person in office who really lived life. Can you name a presidential candidate that didn't come from means in the last twenty years? I say if you are considered rich stay rich and keep out of politics. If you have a particular gift at creating enterprises or managing foreign affair ok I'll give. I give you my word I'd prefer an honest person in the White House.

George and Trayvon

Not since the LA riots have I heard such nonsense coming from left and so called black leaders. I got to watch the Zimmerman verdict and trial and as a retired law enforcement official saw no other verdict outcome. The almost defunct MSNBC was acting and sounding as if the world was just about to end after the verdict was read. All of the progressive haters of the constitution were out in force crying, "no justice no peace" and calling for their lap dog Eric Holder to makeup and create some fake charge so they can feel better about themselves. Jesse Jackson was making statements that Trayvon didn't get a fair trial because their were just women on the jury so it was not a jury of his peers. In my best Carlos Mencia imitation, "duh duh duh". Idiot the jury is supposed to be made up for George Zimmerman. The peers are George Zimmerman' s. The trial was to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that George murdered or committed manslaughter. The jury resoundingly stated he did not.

Now the true racist come out of the wood work. Al Sharpton and the like are calling for civil disobedience in a hundred US cities in response the the justice system having done it job but not gone their way. They sound like they were raised by parents who constantly told them, "everyone's a winner". Since Obama called Trayvon his almost son they word went out to the Obama zombies in the administration that any outcome other than imprisonment for Zimmerman was the white man getting away with it. Another stupid comment being made into a mantra is Trayvon was shot with his Skittles and ice tea. It must have been very challenging for Martin to punch, grab, and beat George with those in his hands. Racist like the ones that are praying for riots don't care about evidence or verdicts or laws ot judgement. All these people want is revenge.  Revenge because they have been weak and their lives have not turned out how they wish they had. This type of person never blames themselves for their problems, their finger always points at others.

It is a horrible damn senseless thing that a young man. Yes I called him a young man, not a damn child like all the NAACP wackos are referring to him as. Horrible that this young man is dead. Why is he dead? Trayvon is dead because he chose violence. For a couple of years you could see him slowly turning to the dark side with the guns and street fights and petty crimes he committed.  Trayvon is dead because we have a part of society that has not been able to elevate themselves fully beyond the material. In parts of the black community gangsta is a badge of honor. The word n@#%a is used as a greeting. To be a millionaire drinking Crystal and rolling in a Bentley is considered success, no matter what you do to get it. Trayvon died in a rare event, 97% of the murder of blacks are committed by other blacks. Why aren't the leaders of the black community crying out asking what is wrong with us.

George takes part of the blame, he could have walked away sooner. All of this is hind site is 20/20. Even if did he deserves the ass whooping that he got from Trayvon?  No. What we as a nation should be focusing on is what led these two men to make assumptions of each other. What within each of the cultures created the atmosphere to incubate the right circumstances to end in a deadly force confrontation. Nobody is asking that.

No one is asking why society could not create two men who at the moment they met could have done the following scenario. "Young man, hey where are you going, I'm with the neighborhood watch", "We've had a ton of problems and I haven't seen you in the area before". "Oh sorry it's raining and my pops lives near by, I'm just taking a short cut after grabbing a snack at the store". "Oh OK, hey it's late you should be home, I'll give you a ride to your dad's". "I will call and tell him you are, thanks". "I'm George". "I'm Trayvon".

Reverse discrimination

As a former Dallas Police officer. I have seen and have been ordered to use reverse discrimination in the hiring process. When I was hired in 1995 I was brought in early to work for the department before the academy started. My job as a Spanish speaker was to call Spanish speaking candidates and invite them to the upcoming exams. I found very little interest and many sub par candidates. Most of the educated individuals that had filed applications had found much better paying jobs in the private sector o they turned down my offer. The weeks went by and I began to run out of Spanish speaking candidates to call so I asked my supervisor to allow me to call on whites. I was quickly told that they were "not interested" in whites, they were a dime a dozen.

I looked at the massive stack of white applicant files and noticed many more highly qualified persons in this pile than of Spanish speaking pile I wad working on, so I took iy upon myself to call them. Not too long after I started calling did I start getting yes answers to my invitation to test for Dallas PD. I wonder how many officers are still skillfully doing their jobs on the streets of Dallas because I disobeyed orders? After I was on the department for a few years and was eligible for testing, I started hearing from people testing to be promoted that they were not the right skin color to promote, they were white. Promotions in Dallas were determined by testing and with certain ranks a presentation to a board. I assumed that all one had to do was to be the top grade and they would chose from the top down depending on the need. I assumed wrong when I was educated to the term "passed over". The term passed over means not promoting a more qualify candidate and you pass them over to take the less qualified minority candidate. This did not bode well with my Anglo friends and lawsuits began.

My white friends of course won their discrimination suits and were back paid and promoted. The city decided it had another trick up it's sleeve by rigging the promotion board. I had seen this happen on numerous occasions. A white candidate for promotion walks into the board have scored a 90 on his written test, so almost certainly that person would be promoted.  A minority candidate would come in with a test score in the 70's. I bet you cam guess what happens next. Some how the white person bombs his board and is placed at the back of the bus for promotion. The minority tester walks on water and is giving extra credit for his presentation to the board once again passing over the white officer.

This practice fractured our department turning officer against officer. Each throwing racial discrimination accusations against the other. There were times when white officers and black officers sat on opposite sides of the detail room. I had an incident where I stopped a black person, in a black neighborhood with numerous violations and my black partnet accused me of stopping them because they were black. I quickly ended the traffic stop and drove to the station and dropped my partner off and informed the sergeant. I didn't want to spend six months going in and out of internal affairs ovet a few traffic tickets.

The Zimmerman trial has rekindled this memory. To hear that my tax dollars were spent by the Department of Justice to support groups that promote black on white racism, black on white violence is almost more shocking then Benghazi. The president again is to blame, he gave the order. Obama stated, "If I had a son he'd look like Trayvon". Every Obama zombie in the government went on overdrive trying to think of what to do to avenge the presidents "son". In the minority community there is this sense of entitlement. Where did hard work and sacrifice go? We have so many rights nowadays that we don't realize the wrong we do.

America must fail

There are lessons to be learned in failures. Someone who wants to be successful has failed at what they do, more than once. Failure helps correct and perfect. When metal is super heated it becomes liquid and the impurities can be cleared away. Was it Nietzsche that said survival of the fittest? Even in the human body the place where a facture takes place thickens with extra bone when it heals.

Looking at American history some of our best decades have been the years after our biggest failures. Americans became motivated, tougher, hungrier and powered through the rough economic patch. This was the mistake of the stimulus and the bailouts. The natural selection that is part of a bankruptcy was not allowed to occured to hundreds of companies. Now we see the same bad practices and people in place in corporations that should have gone extinct. Would scientist bring back a T-Rex? Nature chose to perfect reptiles in some more enduring form. Why should we have allowed all thoses banks and private businesses that were responsible for their own shortcomings?

Nature seems cruel and though I believe in God I can see how nature can be used to move us closer to human perfection. The natural processes should be a part of our economic and political philosophy. Reproduction, birth, growth, ageing and death should be seen as a normal part of everything we do. As of yet nothing can be immortal, and to continue to keep a business or a political policy on life support benefits no one. Companies and bad governments must be allowed to fail and die.

Will America die? I am uncertain. Are there currently forces and mistakes being made that are making the US ill that could lead to it's death, yes. I have to admit that I say mistakes just to be polite. I actually feel that the current administration is purposefully creating the climate and conditions that could end our role or position as a world leader. Obama and his kind has for years stated that America has been too arrogant. Obama has stated that we must end American exceptionalism. Progressive policies if allowed to continue will turn us into a borderless land with no true singular identity or distinction. We will become a land of hyphenated Americans.

Where is the breaking point?

What other violations of our rights and freedoms can be trampled on? What's left of the land of the free and the home of the brave? Our ability to be capitalist is gone. Our privacy is gone. Our decisions over our own bodies is gone. Where is the breaking point? When will the millions of Americans fed up with the Socialist in chief take a stand and push back? We are all really tired, I understand.  What we can do is pause,  but we cannot quit.

I don't know about you all but I don't want to be European. I don't want to be taxed so much I have to sell my car and ride a bus or train everywhere. I don't want to work for the state my whole life. I don't want to be prosecuted for calling someone a name even if it is vulgar or racist as they do in Europe. I don't want cameras every damn where and if I do something unexpected a police officer comes over a loudspeaker and admonishes me like they do in England. This is where the Obamanation is taking us. No more paranoia or conspiracy, Edward Snowden is slowly taking down the rabbit hole and showing us what the Matrix is.

Where are the intellectual rebels and revolutionaries that propelled this country into greatness? The founding fathers saw the tyranny that was oppressing us. Men like the Adams, Jeffderson, Hancocks,  gathered and sat and thought and devised a statement to our rulers. A statement that we are aware and have been awakened to the inequality and unfairness of their rule. Who will awaken to this task? First I felt the Republicans surely will, no. I next thought maybe Rubio. I was wrong. Compromise and the want to stay in office has made these men weak. There are a few crying in the wilderness like Rand, Cruz, and Lee. They are few and need our help.

We need to take the energy of the left has when it "Occupies" things. I know we conservatives have a unique problem, we have jobs and are still trying to rebuild America unlike the hippies in dreads that stank up the streets of our cities. What we do have is money, smarts, blogs, voices, emails. A digital conservative revolution. We already have the airwaves, now we need social media and some guts. The guts to push back this RED TIDE.

To believe that everyone is perfectly equal is a lie. To believe that we must have all things in common is another falsehood. There is a not so silent push since the crash of 2007 and 2008 to have our government consolidate key industries of our society. The lie comes in when it is said that it is for our own well-being. That somehow the laws that govern corporate failure are inadequate, and the state now must deem entities "too big to fail". Sounds reasonable and responsible to now allow death to occurr in our major centers of capital growth. What we have to understand is that this is not the end game. The government takes and doesn't relinquish powers and privileges given to it. The lie of Socialism is permeating every part of our governance on a federal amd regional level and we must stop it.

Redistributed wealth, it makes me throw up a little in my mouth. To think of the arrogance it must take for some THING like a bureaucrat to think that he nows best who should have or have not. That the fruits of my efforts and intellect and imagination should be granted by proxy to one that has done none of those. The greed and selfishness it must take to receive what you did not deserve. What type of genetic defect must a human being have that if fully capable and functional feels it his right to take from me when I have not offered to share. Even the very term Socialism is a lie. The term comes from the latin word Socius which means to share or to ally. Both of the terms for the Latin word show a voluntary process, yet Socialism uses political, social, or even military might to institute this sharing.

The majority of the illegal alien population comes from countries that have been practicing this type of rule either from their foundation or for decades. Now leaders from both side are willing to allow people with this defective thought process and value system to enjoy the privilege of being called American. What is being proposed in Congress and may have a chance at passing it the death blow to what being American is all about. This massive legalization of Progressives will give the Democrats power indefinitely and will put and end to American exceptionalism and true American liberty.

The "T" word

A few blow hards on both sides of the politcal isle are throwing around the word traitor like it was hello. These constitutional titans seem to have forgotten innocent until proven guilty. Edward Snowden according to them has sold states secrets to China and Russia, and Al-Qaeda has already improved it's ability to thwart NSA spying. The smears on what Snowden was doing began fast and furious. New agencies were releasing silly pictures of him calling them "embarrassing".

The media jumped on his lack of formal education. Yes the hig school drop out was able to gain access to the most secret programs on earth and run, just shows you how much you really need American education. The state is no longet aftet him because he broke the law, they are after him because he has made the NSA and the federal government look weak and comical.

Snowden must be a trekkie, remember the quote when Spock was dying in the warp reactor chamber. "The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few or the one". Isn't that what this man is doing. Having seen the and understood the illegality of this Orwellian monstrosity, he made a brave choice to expose it. I've heard the argument that he should have gone through proper channels.

What would the government have done to him in secret? Where would he be now after going to supervisors and higher ups complaining of the ethics and legal issues with Prism and 215 and other NSA spying on Americans programs? Gone, disappears, at least now whatever happens the world knows. The US government can't hide behind a rendition. My question to you all is this, how could he have broken the law exposing an illegal program? Are the contracts and agreements he signed to work for NSA worth the paper they are written on if they were based in falsehoods and criminal activities?

I wonder who will represent him in his trial? What happens if he is given asylum? How much more does he have to tell us about what our government was doing to us? Even the reporter is being attacked. Congressman Peter King from New York is asking for a James Rosen type investigation on the reporter that broke the story. We cannot and must not allow our goverment to continue down this road to a police state.

The falling star

I am almost beginning to pity our president. Bill Clinton's assessment of our president being an amateur is now self evident. The public can now see the results of what a morally loose goverment looks like from the tidal waves of leaks. Nepotism, corruption, hell sex and drugs and rock and roll. You'd think the Rolling Stone were running the country. There is not one part of the government that doesn't  have some scandal being investigated by an inspector general. Blame Bush!

No, blame the man at the top. Was it Truman that said, "the buck stops here". Does the president have enough guts to fall on his sword and say that it's on him. What does taking full responsibility mean today? Just a couple of decades ago it meant that the person in charge screwed up and that it was time to go. What's the alternative, Biden? Oh hell no. I am now asking seeing that his approval rating is still relatively high, what more must happen to bring this president down? So far everything that could destroy a president and some say a country has happened.

The presidents feigning of ignorance seems to resonate with half of the American public. I tell you he must have the strongest trap muscles with all the shrugging he does. Are the Americans that support him just so hypnotized that they can't be snapped out of their spell? For the last few months I've heard pundits from my side say that Obama could rob a bank full of witnesses, on video, be caught red handed, and still fifty percent of us would not believe it. I am starting to see why that analogy is being made.

What has made presidents fall? Nixon a cover up of a burglary. Clinton, a cover up of sex. Carter,  a failed economy. Bush the second, a war. Obama has all of these and he still is mathematically intact. I may have to start looking at the supernatural. Any weird birthmarks?

What we don't know/I'm torn

I find Edward Snowden to be a very courageous man. What he has done could put lives at risk around the world including his. I am not sure if I could have made that moral leap from defender of the government to whistleblower leaving everything behind. The life Edward had and knew is over forever and the NSA and secret operations of the United States will be crippled for some time due to his exposing Prism and the phone monitoring by the NSA. I believe in the rule of law, however when laws exist that violate an existing constitutional right only men like Edward Snowden bring balance back to liberty.

Fear caused us to lose our minds after 9/11. Our cry of freedom changed to the whimper of safety. Many of us chose to protect what we have and forgot our way of life. A free society cannot make a compromise with tyranny and come out unscathed. How many times have we heard since the downing of the Twin Towers that we are giving to much power ti the federal government and that they never give it back?

Even the party that I feel has the best interest of our nation at heart (Republican) have helped to forge the way for the current dictatorship. The anointed and elite have made it there mission to save us fron ourselves. The very laws that we allowed them to use to defend us have been turned inward against us.

Every keystroke now that we right. Every number we dial, every text we send, someone somewhere in the government knows or can know about it. I've had friends argue that they don't care they aren't doing anything wrong. My point is that if we don't push back now on this unreasonable search, what happens when what we're not doing wrong becomes wrong? If we do not make a stand now and take a risk and not be perfectly safe and secure we will create and may have already created that "Big Brother" state predicated by Orwell.

Now the real frightening issue is, we know about Prism, we know about the access to our phone data, what else is there. The tip of the iceberg remember,  underneath there is always so much more. The Obama administration has proved the conspiracy theorists were always right. The Alex Jones, the Art Bell's, with these crazy late night ideas about super secrey surveillance and sinister forces watching our every move, correct on both accounts. Only our imagination now limits us to what our government is doing for us and against us in the name protecting us from terrorism.

I'm torn that he had to break the law to help us be free. Didn't the founding fathers break the law to start this nation?

Bread lines

The goverment has taken over many aspects of our lives.  They have taken over our car companies expect for Ford. Obamacare now takes over 1/6 the of our economy and now has control of our healthcare.  A bad experience at Wal-Mart inspired my hetero life mate to compare that company to the bread lines in the old Soviet Union and Eastern Block countries of thirty years ago. Then it hit me. That food is the last part of our general welfare that the government has not officially taken over. Not that efforts are not under way. I was relating a story this morning to some very loyal fans here at Starbucks about how in New York City salt shakers have been removed from restaurant tables. That in NYC you can't buy a Big Gulp anymore or that pizza companies can't deliver drinks larger than 16oz. These anointed leaders would have been laughed at and ridiculed just ten years ago for proposing these infringements, now they boldly take control.

Could the government or would the government make a play to control the nation's food supply? Yes, it could be tied simply into proper management of Obamacare. That caught your attention. Through the department of Health and Human services food is already being rationed through the food stamp or SNAP program. The federal government could make the argument that to reduce the ever skyrocketing cost of healthcare,  it must manage what we eat to keep us healthy. No more foods that have possible heart disease causing ingredients. No more cigars or cigarettes. Coffee is out, salt, fats, sugar. Without choice or freedom to eat whatever we want, why have more than one place to shop for groceries. What chain in America is near everyone? Yes I am going Alex Jones on you all but who ever thought GM or our healthcare would be owned by the government? Wal-Mart could be seen as so large that it could be deemed important to national security or if it has a bad run in a strong economy, too big to fail and in comes comrade Sam to save the day.

Go ahead giggle at the idea. If you are over forty start to think of what the government didn't control when you where a kid to what's in it's death grip now. When I was about 8 or 9 we were very poor. I remember standing in a food line with my grandmother from the USDA for a free bag of groceries for low income persons at the local community center. That was 35 years ago. The systems are already in place to monitor food intake. The EBT cards that are used in place of food stamps keep a detailed account of what recipients eat and drink. All we need now is a food scare or crisis. Oh man did I say that out loud.

Free men

What is a free man? There is liberty, then there is freedom. Can we live with restrictions, rules and regulations and still consider ourselves free? Tons of questions on my mind this morning. Silently and not so silently oir government has decided to take away the very core of what we as human beings want; the right to self- determination. I have spoken on this subject ad nauseum, but there is half of the country yet to convince that relinquishing their WILL to a faceless bureaucracy will only lead to misery.

Fear is what rules the left's followers. These puppets would have never crossed the Atlantic for a better way of life. The take no risk in their lives. These zombies wake up, go to work, come home, so it all over day after day. The American dream for them doesn't come from the fruits of their innovation or creativity or imagination. The dream for them is one of safety amd security. They complain about being bored and do nothing to escape the chains of conformity. Instead of putting their mark on time and on society by placing themselves at risk, they never rock the boat and their lives resemble and echo. Their lives start off strong with every intention of standing out but fear quickly comes in and they fade.

Where are the rebels and daredevils that craved their names into the flesh of this country? Those men and women who refused to be controlled, held back and oppressed by governmental tyranny. Are we going to allow ourselves and this country to be turned into a classless society where no one strives to be great or exceptional?  Everyone being equal is a lie that we have to destroy. All of you out there know this, yet refuse to admit it to yourselves. You fight so hard for what you have and see others doing little and still being provided for. I remember working in the projects and some had better clothing and cars then I did working until I got sick some weeks.

The only way to discipline our fellow Americans who promote Socialism for our nation is to take away the drugs they are addicted to; welfare and food stamps. Take away the baby bottle and force those that can to grow up amd eat meat.

The terrorist Oscar Lopez Rivera

During his trial convicted terroist Oscar Lopez Rivera stated , "I am an enemy of the United States"! Today that would bring you to a quite little place in eastern Bulgaria with water and a board waiting for you. Back in the 80's it brought him a 35 year prison stint. As founder and leader of the Saul Alinsky influenced FALN, Lopez directed terrorist activities throughout Chicago, New York, and Puerto Rico. Dozens of people were killed and injured by this group and its members until a mass arrest occurred soon aftet the bombinh stopped according to the Spectator magazine.

Lopez is not a Ghandi who's non-violent resistence ties up traffic or pushes cotton price higher. Through the inspiration of Saul Alinsky, Lopez with co-conspirator Carlos Torres led a wave of violence similar to the other Chicago based terrorist organization the Weather Underground. Curious how the teachings of Alinsky only inspire violence and radicalism. Not only was Lopez a tactical commander, he also kept the material to make the bombs used in his apartments throughout the states. Lopez was a hands-on terror leader.

As listed in the Daily News these were among the dead in the 1975 Manhattan bombing. Harold H. Sherburne, 66, whose career on Wall Street spanned four decades, and a young banker, Frank Connor, 33, who had worked his way up over 15 years from clerk to assistant vice president at Morgan Guaranty Trust. Two executives, James Gezork, 32, of Wilmington, Del., and Alejandro Berger, 28, who worked for a Philadelphia-based chemical company, had traveled to New York for business meetings. Sources have FALN as having carried out over 120 bombings during the 70's and 80's.

If it took me twenty minutes to find the information of the murdered and the facts of Oscar Lopez Rivera and have a negative opinion, what did singer Ricky Martin do who now supports his release? I would say that Ricky must be in agreement that murder is a justified means to forward the cause of Puerto Rican independence like the Macheteros promote. Ricky is aligning himself with a personality equal to Bin Laden. Lopez could be referred to as the Bin Laden of Puerto Rico. No he was more like Abu Musab al-Zarqawi who got his hands dirty for the cause.

Lest Puerto Rican forget this terrorist was no Martin Luther King. Oscar Lopez was a lucky man to not be charged with murder or conspiracy to murder, he was smart enough to stay distant enough to have some plausible deniability.

Ricky remember the phrase, "Guilt by association" .

Half of us could care less but why?

Decades ago these numerous deaths and scandals would have destroyed a presidency. Today comedy segments are made showing a guy with a mic asking random people who the VP is. The litte embarrassment these people feel when they do not know simple current events just shock me. I have never been a man to not "Know". I have been ridiculed and harassed for being a know it all. What could a person be doing that they could not take half an hour to listen or read the news online and know the headlines.

We live in a self-centered introverted society. To our down fall technology is becoming our friend and our god. Even today I was shocked that the manager of the local coffee shop where I write this blog remembered my name. "Hey Arnaldo". Was all she said and I was startled. Even as extroverted as I am for someone to be personal in that way seemed unusual almost intrusive, but it warmed me to be recognized. How little contact does a person have to have to make themselves the center of their lives and consider no others?

Little is shocking but everything is offensive. For a people that have so little concern for what happens to our fellow human beings we are really stinking touchy. Don't like gay rights, you're a homophobe. Don't support gun control, you're a domestic terrorist. Don't support abortion, you hate women. Today if you disagree your idea is not flawed it's evil. We have become islands unto ourselves.

The acts of tyranny will continue because half of our country is too selfish to care anymore. The stress from the economic downturn has put us in survival mode and we running around like a disbanded pack of animals. Until we understand that who we were as a people, that our original values needed no evolution, that being conservative or "Real" can mean being modern also; we will be taken advantage of time and time again.

The new normal

America is being reduced to a laughing stock of a nation. Out of control poverty and dependency as rarely seen before. Yet the stock market is at all time highs almost daily. Millions of people completely out of the work force. The government claiming unemployment is down. A president constantly claiming his is the most transparent and fair and for the people. Then we see he is directing an attack on nearly every constitutionally guaranteed  freedom we have.

Think about these last four plus years of what this president has come after. If you're an American overseas,  you'd better make sure that you don't even give off the impression that you're committing a crime or you'll get a Hellfire missle up your rump. If you own a weapon you'd better now go to a shrink because Obamacare compels them to rat cause your mad that your wife nags. If you're a member of the media you'd better not try to get the truth out about all the scandals surrounding Obama, because your mom and dad will end up bugged.

I now will say that if you support Obama and his policies you're mentally ill or a subversive. Even the slick press secretary Carney can't remember all the stories and lies he has told and is having a hard time with the once friendly press. If you back this administration you have no idea what America really is about and should leave for France or Italy or some partially socialist country immediately. America is not to be changed. The constitution is not written on a dry erase board where you can wipe the ideology you despise away.

This new normal that we are in is not America. What we are living in is some imposters costume. Uncle Sam's been kidnapped by Uncle Stalin and the real patriots have to rescue him from the gulag he is being held in. There are a few out there with the courage to smack this regime in the mouth. Names like Paul and Cruz have taken a stance to prevent this high tide of the radical left from becoming a Tsunami.

Change is bad

I don't think that in my life a president has so fundamentally tried to change oir way of life. I find that every time I turn around there is a new rule or regulation or executive order changing our way of doing things. Not just macro parts of our lives, but the micro. What we eat, what we drive, what we wear is being taken over by the federal government or any government for control and change. Even here in free Texas the state is trying to regulate Yoga, come on really? Are we that weak and dumb of a people that we need constant care and protection from Nanny Samantha? Makes me want to go out and buy some Depends and a bottle and sit on the Capitol steps crying whaaaaaa! Change me after I soil myself since they love change so much.

This is not a change to protect us from some kind of danger or negative consequence. The change is a change for creeping and constantly more control of who and what we are as free men and women. Sit and think a minutes about this. Look around yourself and try to find even one thing you do or own or is around you that some type of political entity doesn't touch. As I sit in a coffee house not even the floor my dirty sandals are on is free from a politicians touch. The question I always ask is, "Does the government in my life make my life better"? What I have deduced is that it makes my life more expensive and I have a better chance of breaking some kind of unknown law.

People will say that cars are safer, food is safer, drugs are safer on and on. Wouldn't they have been anyway with market pressure? If we find out a car is unsafe or a restaurant is dirty do wr keep going or driving it. No! I guess it's the rebel in me that hates being told what to do. I give the majority of the human race the credit for knowing what to do and not do. I also know that when you do something that someone doesn't like or agree with there are consequences.

So why such rapid change? There is only one answer, power. In people likr Obama there exist a belief that they have been endowed or destined with a superhuman ability to lead and save their fellow man in a pharaohic manner. Would, "Let my people go" , be too much?
