Welcome to the desert...of the real

We are reminded today through different legislative actions both locally and nationally that our freedom here is America is a dream just as in the fictional world of The Matrix. Even in other nations we go about our daily lives barely looking up or around to notice we have all truly given up most of our liberties. We float around from home to work and back plugged into the machine that feeds us the lie that is our current state of democracy.

Having been born into this type of slavery and asleep you are not self aware. The subtle clues that would expose this rouse go right above our heads and we accept the lies. I have always felt that we had a near perfect society here in the states, but the last three and a half years has exposed the chink in the armor. The Matrix has been working on keeping us asleep since FDR but two years ago a few began to awaken.

I have just recently awaken myself. By no means am I comparing myself to Neo. I see myself as just one of the thousand there in the warm center at Zion. I know who Neo is but his coming will be a lot more dramatic and supernatural. I just kept seeing those echoes in our system, the glitches in our Matrix that give me Deja Vu. Some of the malfunctions of the system were:

1. A culture of welfare and handouts
2. Political apologies for our Americanism
3. Socialist and progressive activism

These are just a few that disturbed my slumber. Now that I am awake I am restless. I had to come up with a way to escape. The pill that I swallowed is Realism.

Newyorrican no more.

I apologize for the late start. My children, groceries, and my BJJ purple belt training ate up my time early this morning. Thank you to all of you now in Puerto Rico who are taking a look at ricantotheright for the first time thank you.

Just the perfect segway this morning into how Realism would have a positive effect on civil liberties. I woke up this morning to the sounds of freedom gurgling for air in the streets of New York City. I grew up in the Bronx in the late 70's and Long Island in the 80's and see just how far it has come. From the burnt out buildings of the 1977 blackout. To now the glits and glamour of post 9/11 NYC. The last few years Mayor Bloomberg has gone on a campaign, I dare say a war against who he thinks are the unhealthy, fat, and unattractive of the city. Mayor Bloomberg has taken it upon himself to tell citizens of an alleged free society today what types and how much they can consume in sugary drinks. The founding fathers are throwing up in their graves. To think that after New York has lost almost 4 million residents due to high taxes. So sodas are persona non grata, the real enemy of what ills the big apple? So let us pretend for a moment that through our education and conversations we have propeled one of ours into the Mayors mansion in NYC.

Day one, every regulation that impedes or infringes on civil liberties and the choices of adults would immediately be up for repeal or if legislatively possible signed away by executive order. Who are we leaders to tell free men and women what they can drink, eat, smoke. Business owners would immediately feel the influx of new patron because of the freedom to cook with the ingredients they feel make their foods taste good. Patrons would self regulate. If you don't like smoking restaurants will have a non smoking section to make money or go find one yourself. Less government regualtions lead to more personal responsibility.

Remember there is a ban in New York on Trans Fats, moronic. A salt restriction, size limit to sugared drinks.  The Realist as mayor would be pulling their hair out in the mayors office trying to find the fastest way to kill these laws. Hey if you don't want fat in your food, find a place that doesn't serve it. Too much salt, how about telling the waiter, "excuse me light on the salt please". "It's for the good of the public"! They will cry. The only one who can tell what is good for us is God and he's not the mayor of New York or is he? It gives me the feeling of being cattle or a herd of sheep. Your too stupid and irresponsible to make wise decisions for yourself is what politicians like Bloomberg are saying. I say that as a collective consciousness New Yorkers are smarter, better looking, and in better shape than the anointed leaders of the big apple.

Realism applied parte dos

I don't want to make it sound as if  we should all become politicians. What I am saying is, that if we want to have a more functional way of government in our countries, we are going have to get involved in politics. We can no longer keep what we believe a secret. So just as we began with conversation to help conversion, we  continue discussing freedom at the workplace, bar, etc. So our educating of other IS our politics. Naturally there will be those that don't care or don't want freedom. Realism is about working around others not forcing them to participate. Remember that the right of the individual is the prime directive of our new principle. So applying it is our first goal. How?

Can a plumber or a barber or a butcher use these new found freedoms in their lives. Maybe. That's reality it may not work for everyone. Should our friends at a nuclear power plant operating the cooling of the fuel rods not have very clear and restrictive and precise rules? Man I really think so. Should the guy who wants to plant a pecan tree in his yard in instead of
Oak have his home taken away by a neighborhood association? Hell no, this is the type of statute that practicing realist would immediately eliminate if in power. In all things there are balances, even freedom must have defined parameters. Case by case basis. Realism is not easy, it puts the burden back on ourselves to be more responsible and more productive.

Opt in or out, we don't care. Just as long as others do not impede our decision to practice true free, we won't bother their slavery. Though it hurt us and there are many in our ranks who are heros and want to save them, some will have to be allowed to live out their lives in their mental chains. So if we the regular citizen wants freedom we just cannot cast a blind eye to it any longer. To steal a line from the department of homeland security, "if you see something, say something". If you see or know of injustices that take away your freedom, stand up and say something. Write, email, go to town meetings, vote, be active. That's how those of us that don't want to lead practice Realism, they speak up. Will you keep quiet from now on?

Realism applied

So our casual conversations now help shape the society we are looking for. We are not mindless and spend our times like extremists protesting or complaining. Realist deal in the here and now and enjoy all of life's pursuits. Our freedom does not lead to anarchy. Realism deals with human freedoms as related to positive human interactions. Since there is structure in nature and chaos causes negative effects, we will lead humanity to freedom and liberation through God given natural order.

We rarely hear about, "common sense" in our day to day interactions. Much of what we discuss in our theorem is already programmed within us. It just takes thought and effort and courage to put it into practice. So often now we allow ourselves to be guided by those who call themselves our leaders, instead of looking within and asking what is beneficial for us. Freedom has to start with the individual, and the individual is THE most important part of what we will unchain.

So the real enemies of Realism are over regulations and frivolous legal restrictions. If we are to combat these civilly, we are going to have to infiltrate the system. So there is a burden on us to be educated in our countries legal and political systems. Sucks, some of us should think about becoming lawyers, input any lawyer joke you know here. Our goal to learn about those systems is to be able to go through and gut the antiquated and over burdensome laws that bind us. Remember that restrictions not only burden the individual but also those of us who own businesses...to be continued

Freedom, freedom

So as Realist per se, we believe in freedom. Freedom limited because we can't trample the comforts of others, then they have the right to return the discomfort. In every aspect of our lives we try to not allow governments or corporate entities to regulate our pursuit of liberty.  However we realize that we can not live outside the laws. Once we come into power do we slowly begin to veto, void or demand repeal of the statutes that chain us. Realism is NOT a revolution, it is the changing of the current political thought to deal with what actually can happen. We must begin to challenge and educate those around us. Family, children ,friends first should be confronted on what they believe freedom to be and what freedom can actually be. Our societies tend to be prisoners of what we are told freedom is and accept it as fact. We rarely ask ourselves what does freedom mean to us? This should be the thrust of our change, the question, are you truly free?

Expect rejection, ridicule and persecution. It will be a rare person who confronts today's reality. The reality that most of us are not truly liberated. Some may even not want to think that the wool has been pulled over their eyes for their entire life. That where you live, what you eat, where you work is someone else's doing. I don't believe it entirely to be some grand evil plan as much as those in power to control the masses through social engineering. How many of us go through life depressed ,disillusioned and defeated thinking, "well this is my lot in life". It isn't. You have been made to follow a track and avenue for the purpose of social tranquility. You must alert others of this dream and wake them up through challenging their idea of being free.

The question is more important than the answer. If we can get people around us to start asking questions of themselves, we know the power of viral videos. What if we can spawn viral speech concerning Realism? That comes through the courage of asking the question. Are you really free?

Is this the real life or is it fantasy

I hope you observed the Memorial day holiday with fun and a little reverence for our fallen heros. There were a few interesting family discoveries I shared with the family and you all. Remember to look at my past blogs, I am trying to build on them, though sometimes my A.D.D takes over and yes I do have A.D.D., it's called being Puerto Rican, seriously. What I wanted to share with you this week is how our new definition of "Realism" would apply on global issues and concerns. Many of these stances that I am sharing are by no means my own, except the understanding that I am  defining Realism as a political theorem. Again, thank you to all of you who are reading this throughout the world, Russia you have come on strong, welcome. Where to begin?

I think we should start with the implementation of Realism into a current country's political stream. Unless we find a plot of land somewhere under no country's control, our ideas will have to be slowly introduced. Libertarians are the founding fathers of Realism. Their ideas independence, civil liberties, minimum government influences, free trade are exactly what a truly emancipated population would practice in their daily lives. Though I sense they are well intentioned in believing that free trade can make our enemies our friends, they dismiss the natural evil that lurks in the human condition. With this evil comes greed and the desire to force others into totalitarian type situations. So the Libertarian idea of no preemptive warfare against another nation is flawed. Realism understands and sees what human intentions really are, not what we want to be. War is as essential in Realism as trade is to capitalism.

So how do we get Realism to be viral in the countries we live in? First speaking about it and using the three foot rule. Whomever is within three feet of us we begin a warm and friendly discussion. Politics can no longer be taboo for the realist, they must be part of your daily walk. There are no racial or socioeconomic barriers either, the poor and the reach can be liberated and improved by applying our theory. Freedom is key to your discussions. I believe just as the founding American fathers that Freedom is something built into our DNA. That in every human being there is a yearning to be more than their trade or station. That there are no mental limits to what we can achieve. Open with a simple question to those around you. Are you truly free? Should we define Realistic freedom? Ok let's get into that later today.

I am Stardust I am golden

I was looking up my cousin Francisco Correa-Morales who died in Vietnam 04/23/1966. My cousin served in the 5th Infantry, Bravo company. Francisco died in a really bizarre training accident where a Sargent decided to do claymore training in an armored personnel carrier. The claymore exploded and he an two others were killed instantly. My older sister was named in his honor. I remember my great uncle showing us pictures of him, and my mom related the story of how he died. Many in my family have served through the generations. Some of the men in my family still to this day show the mental scars of service and combat. Tragic that as a species we can explore other worlds and create technologies to look into the very matter that creates us. Yet we savagely tear each other apart for basic needs everywhere on this planet.

On the 50th anniversary of the start of the Vietnam war, I was looking to find where Francisco was buried, instead  I found something amazing. NASA launched the Stardust spacecraft about 9 years ago to explore a near by comet. The builders decided that a microchip with the names of some US servicemen should be placed in the spacecraft to honor these fallen heros. I know he wasn't physically there, but to think now that someone remembered him and thought enough of him to let his name journey through the cosmos. The ship returned in 2006 and is now in Texas not too far from where I live. Also another set of chips with his name and all others on the Vietnam wall will fly to space forever!

This memorial day, even if you have no one who has served, go on a virtual memorial wall. Who cares what war, just find a servicemen you connect with. Leave your name and tell them you remember. Let their names be eternal through your remembrance of each of these heros who died so that we could live. Whichever country your from remember your fallen. Remember.

Always remember, never surrender.

Having served in the US Air Force during Desert Storm, I remember those coming back to the rear after having been in battle. The pilots who flew over Baghdad came back with a distant look as if they had crossed over to another reality. When you would ask them questions, they stared up into the distance and you knew mentally they were transported back to the battle. A young captain described the flight into the city for his bombing run as a massive  video game. He described the anti aircraft artillery cris crossing the air as if shooting stars were coming from the Earth not falling to it. More and more airmen gathered around to hear  him recount of his battle and mission. The question came up, "Cap do you think you killed anyone"? The captain answer, "I used my training, I completed my mission".

Now for over a decade young men and women have used their training and completed their missions. This weekend as we are comfortable in our homes and we relax on our lakes and our beaches, remember them. Remember that that red stripe on our flag in real human blood given to free us. Given to defend and protect us. Never forget that what we have here in America is worth the sacrifice of any one of us, because what we have here adds worth to the human race. Donate some time and treasure to a veterans organization. If you see a soldier, marine, airmen at a restaurant, buy them a meal or shake their hands and say thanks. Thanks to them we are stronger, thanks to them we are free.

Ain't no friends of our.

When will we put an end to our  relationship with Pakistan. At least when Musharif was in power his security services were helpful in our war against terrorism and the Taliban. Somehow this dictator was able to bring Pakistan into the 20th century through robust technology and trade investments. How many well educated Pakistanis have come over and become a valuable part of the US during his leadership? Why is democracy such a difficult seed to grow in the Arab world? Jackie Chan stated a couple of years that the Chinese needed a hard hand to rule it. You see rallies in the Middle East demanding Sharia law. Why is the need for totalitarian rule ingrained in the DNA of the east?

Slowly it is now infecting the west.

Free speech dead in American Schools

So twice now this week we have heard of cases where educators are using threats and now suspensions to teach our children that freedom of speech is dead in American schools. Many of you have seen the YouTube video of the student asking his teacher for fairness when speaking about presidential candidates. Though I disagree with the foul language used in the classroom by both students and teachers, I condemn this mind control by killing free speech. Now not all speech is allowable.

Our children should be instructed what is legal or illegal, positive or negative, sedition or patriotic. Yet in this instant this person choose to use a child's ignorance of the legal system to get him to believe that you can't speak negatively of our leaders. The founding father's rollover in their graves hearing the stupidity of this person. So we have to thank technology and the young man for sensing that this was an  injustice  and posting it online, bravo!

The next incident occurred at the very high school I attended. Longwood High school in Middle Island, New York. Though I admit not knowing both sides of the issue. I find it a slippery slope to quell speech in this case, artistic speech, by suspending a student for producing an anti bullying video. This has put Longwood into the national spot light and I have to use the cliche where there is smoke there is fire.

This young lady created a film that portrayed a young ladies suicide death after being severely bullied. Instead of applauding this youngster for her burden towards the weak, they hand her a suspension for causing a "reaction" in students at Longwood. Is that not what the founding fathers sought in our fledgling democracy? The freedom to influence, the freedom to criticize, the freedom to expose.  Shame on Longwood for not defending the Bill of Rights. Shame on Longwood for jumping on the political correctness bandwagon.

What we shouldn't learn from China continued.

Sorry for the reminiscing everyone. I hate blabbing like that but China was such a fascinating experience. The worst part of my experience was the false sense of freedom these people were experiencing. The government right after Tiananmen square allowed the population to start their own private businesses. The black markets were sanctioned and made legitimate. Mom and pop shops sprang up in every neighborhood. The people seems genuinely happy, until they were in private.

They would tell you about how we were all constantly being followed. That neighbors were pitted against neighbor when the government needed and demanded answers. Every aspect of this freedom was regulated and controlled. Even their reproductive abilities were licensed by the state. Sound familiar. Regulated capitalism does not a free market make. Regulated freedom is not freedom at all. This administration is heading us in this direction. Terms like war on women, class warfare, war on the worker, these are all shouted out of this white house to split the power of the unity of this republic. United we stand(against regulation and over taxation) divided we fall (become socialist).

What we shouldn't learn from China

I lived in China in the very early 90's. I was studying aboard as a part of my religious studies. We smuggled in Bibles and money to some of our secret churches. I have little fear of visiting and new places and experiencing change. When we had the opportunity I ran out of my room with my surfer buddy and went to hunt down something to eat. It took us nearly two day of non stop travel to get to Kaifeng, China. We were ready to explore.

The biggest shock was just how crazy early the entire country wakes up. We thought we were early risers at 6 AM but having heard military marching music over loud speakers we knew we were much lazier than those around us. No kidding at about zero dark thirty over speakers all over the city marching music played. After about 10 minutes of that a cadence began, 1, 2, 3, 4, over and over again. I saw people outside doing all kinds of unusual movements in coordination with the chant. Wu shu, Tai Chi, Chi Gung, were being practiced in a courtyard by our room. Then it hit us the smell of food.

So my buddy and I followed our noses and the smoke...to be continued.

There is no fair share.

One of the mantras of the Obama administration is of everyone getting their fair share. Remember that under our new term "Realism" there is no natural way for this to occur. I wish that at least the Obamacrats would be honest. I would have more respect for them if they just came out and said it. Looked me straight in the eyes and said, "You the rich, hardworking and innovative have too much". "Now we that couldn't through our own efforts be successful  are in power, and well it's payback time". Mohammad Ali's daughter showed us last month this is the real impetuous for the Obama zombies to stay in power. Ali's daughter said if BHO gets a second term, "it's on".

Why do those of Obama's ilk hate the haves? What's in their backgrounds that compels them to seek revenge? OK lets compare. Obama grew up with absent dad who was unfaithful, I got that check. Obama was raised with single mom who moved him around, hey I got that too. Obama was then raised by his grandmother, heck we're twins. Drugs, check, gangs, check. Wait has anyone seen me and Obama in the same place? Maybe I am the presidents Avatar. At night when he sleep he dreams of being a right winger who believes in less government and less taxes. Hold on I think therefore I am. Who said that?

Europe needs a nap nap.

Crap sorry I took an old man nap. So I stay up late to relax after my tribe is put to bed then I stay up too late and didn't get enough sleep. I am at the age where naps make sense again. Plus as a Mixed Martial Artist my body gets pretty beat up from the constant punishment. No I don't sleep with a Teddy bear. So man how Latino of me to have a siesta. I should have worn my pancho and sombrero to bed. My CPAP mask wouldn't fit then, darn.

Someone is asleep at the European wheel. I think all the leaders in the EU need to get their blankets and have a little quiet time. How is it that France elects another tax the rich and spend us into growth Socialist? It boggles my mind that the people and the politicians, who allowed these massive entitlement states to be created and fail, go back to the formula that failed. So it's the definition of insanity time two. Doing something, getting a result over and over and expecting to miraculously be different. Everyone on the planet (except for China) is bankrupt. Why can't the people on the other side of the pond see it?

What comes next for Europe is more frightening. The Nationalist will infiltrate. Then the ultra right wingers. It's like deja vu all over again. The path to Europeans salvation is (Christ) freeing the reigns on it businesses through less taxation and regulation. Unions and entitlement programs are ravaging everything the government takes in. Time to wake up Europe.

Give me liberty, or I will complain alot

What if the founding fathers would have just written the king or just petitioned parliament for our countries freedoms? Would America even exist? Or would our freedom have come anyway through years of whining? In every country there are those that just protest for the want of protesting. Go down to most every Occupy wherever and you'll find them. Most of them don't even know what Occupy is all about. Though the premise and principles of the Occupy movement are fundamentally wrong, the spirit was willing but the flesh was weak. Protest and revolution have been the life's blood of nearly every major Democratic movement. If you can name one that have require no bloodshed, please comment on it. Why is it that only the fist gets the attention? What is it in human nature that compels us to physical conflict? Is it always necessary. I understand that at least in the US we have not reached the boiling point where the populace should arise. One country for certain is in need of a popular uprising. Our "friend" to the south Mexico.

Mexico has been one of the bloodiest and corrupt nations on the planet. We give them a pass because occasionally they have and election. Over 50,000 dead in the last five years just from the drug wars. Official after official arrested and imprisoned for being in the pocket of the cartels.  Shakedown and bribes are common place and part of the culture. Everyone get the "palita". I remember a friend telling me the story of driving through Mexico on a mission trip. The were stopped at a check point by men in military uniforms. The men searched and harassed everyone on the bus. The only way they were allowed to escape was through pooling money together and giving the soldiers a bribe. Being a Spanish speaker I have given interviews on the local Spanish stations and watch their news. I have yet to here about an uprising or and Occupy Mexico City to rid that nation of the disease of  bureaucracy and corruption that has plagued that nation. Mexico is just the main carrier. Look at most Latin American countries and you'll find the same. What's wrong with us? Why can't we run our nations in a way that the world looks at us with respect and admiration? Our we paying for our past sins.

Government. We no need no stinking government.

First, who knew anyone in cyberspace cared or gave a damn about some right wing wackos blog that comes and goes when it pleases. I woke up this morning to see the hundreds of views from all over the world and feel very humbled. So thank you all. Second, do not be shy please leave your thoughts and ideas. I am really hard to intimidate. So let er rip.

I read a book many years ago that ruined me for a long time. It was Juliette by the Marquis de Sade. I read it on a dare. A co-worker on the police department where I work told me she could not get through the first chapter of this over a thousand page monstrosity. Having always heard rumors of the Marquis I decided to brave it out. This man was a Picasso with words. Picasso always pisses me off. Every time I go to a Picasso exhibit I leave angry. How he destroys the female figure in his art tells of his hatred of women. So De Sade's depiction of mankind tells of his hatred of man.

If you could get through the atrocities depicted in Juliette. If you can get through true madness of this evil genius, the Marquis has a simple yet refreshing insight on why there is little need for government. I can't  recall the chapter or the exact verse, so I will tell you my interpretation. Simply it's the biblical eye for an eye. Imagine if justice was instant. If you had the immediate right to avenge proportionately a crime committed against you. Theft, you just go find who stole it and get it right back or payback. Assault, you have the right to fight back, murder then so on. This system in his writings were also applicable to basic needs. You need something, we share, trade or if I need it to survive I take.

Would legal systems and forms of goverment be necessary if we had that complete freedom? Are we as men always to be ruled by the few or the one? If justice and punishment were instantaneous, imagine. I believe in rules they provide a sense of guidance for the simple. Yet I see that laws and governance worldwide has become oppressive, where at every turn there is a new regulation or law to hamper our pursuit of being truly free.

PU to the EU

I lived in England during my military service. When I lived there, there were very few channels. One of the most interested things to watch was Parliament during the prime minister's time. Back in the day it was John Major. I guy from really humble beginnings who I admired as conservative and practical. It never struck me until recently that the prime minister spoke often of of a classless society. A world with no rich middle or poor classes. Sure I wish everyone was rich, but what makes the rich rich. One, Invention and creativity. In a classless society any innovation is stolen from our geniuses to bring back balance. Two, sheer sweat and hard work. Again who wants to strive to anything other than the station they are in, if once you excel again it's taken from you to prop up a freeloader. Third, Inheritance. The accumulation of generations of the combination of my previous statements effort. Taxation is the way to punish this achievement of our ancestors.  What made the American way different? That all of those barriers were taken away in chains. Until 2008 and the election of BHO did the philosophies of the EU never dared to show its face here. I see that face and I want to give it a Dan Henderson H-bomb.

Failure is an option!

I fail on a daily basis. Throughout my life I think back to the times I failed and it instills fear. The fear of being in a cycle of failure and defeat. What if we never let our children or those we love fail. A news report about a school where everyone was a valedictorian struck a cord. Again the mirage of "Equality" shows it deceptive face. This school does not participate in reality. Realism combats this philosophy by taking the veil off and exposing the lie that this social engineering attempts. Realism judges each person on their merits as compared to their peers. There are natural winners and losers. Stars are born, stars die. Species come then are extinct. Nature favors the strong. I am by no means a Nietzschean, however we need to embrace the idea that we are constantly surviving. If we are victorious in our daily survival then we can strive to then excel. Failure is the forge of our mental strength. Failure burns away the impurities. We also have to except that there is permanent failure. However morbid  or macabre  that is reality. We will never be equals. The hope is that we can be the best "I" we can be.

Do tell

We have to get to know those who we chose or chose to lead us. Anyone that is interested in swaying us to their position should be thoroughly vetted. I guess that's why I am giving you tid bits of the issues and events that helped shape me. Not out of arrogance or thinking I have been anointed with some divine word to give, but out of care and concern for Latinos. We are slowly becoming a political and economic power yet we are ignorant on how to lead and what true principals of freedom are. We have already seen the error of blind devotion in our choosing our current unchecked untested president. No one knew him or where him came from. I think we still don't. Do I want to lead, yeah sure I'm an alpha male I know I could. So I will let you know who I am. You really have not choice. JK

I don't practice Santeria...

My mother is a Santera. Mom prays in some Nigerian language, prays to African ancestors, and yes there are animal sacrifices. I remember going to a ceremony where the person was being initiated to a "Santo" or saint. Santeria is the melding of Yoruba ancestor worship and Catholicism. The slaves brought Santeria to the Caribbean in the 15th century made the change to be able to practice without being burned at the stake by the Spanish. The ceremonies are elaborate. Handmade costumes of bright colors and fabrics. People of all colors chanting in an unknown language. The smell of the sacrificed animals being cooked for the ritual meal. The acts I remember the most were the dances. I can go right back there. I remember this very white and blond female in the center of a Santeria mosh pit. Men and women with cigars turned the lighted end into their mouths and blew the cigar smoke at the dancer. The dancer began convulsing and pulsating and began speaking in a language I couldn't understand. We were made to wear all white and cover our heads. I remember hating being looked at as different or weird. I know that events like these help bring me to the dark side...to be an evangelical.

Cocina

I am the cook in this house. Yes I really do use adobo in nearly every meal. I love the stuff. Just like the bottle says it goes in anything. My cooking comes from abuela. I even stir the rice the way she did not that it makes it taste better, but because she did it. So what if I can let my kids emulate me in my way of thinking. If I can just let them watch me do politics not just speak politics. At least on my end I can end the generational curse of dependency that our people have. I already see it in my oldest son. What a work ethic both in school and on the athletic field. I wish he`d bring some of that home and clean his room, but hey two out of three ain't bad. So my fellow Ricans or Latinos or whoever else is reading this. Do politics in front of your children that is "Real". Teach them about "Realism" in your own way and style. Get them started about knowing that no one is equal and that life is not fair, and it will liberate them.

Verbal vomit

Not so easy to define a new political ideology. It sounded good in my head at least. All my personalities agreed that it seemed very well intentioned. Realism is about politics for and in real life. These Utopian ideas of men being as one, classless societies, workers of the world unite, impossible. What is constant in man is his nature to want better for himself and the one's he is responsible for. Primitively that meant food, fuel, shelter. Today, well, damn it it's the same thing. When a group or class of people felt that their needs were not being met, they rose up and changed the way things were. They didn't seek an accommodation from the oppressors. No I am not advocating a government overthrow. What I feel is necessary is the action of doing for yourself, creating your own opportunities through non violent combat and competition. If someone at work makes more then you, don't whine about the inequities. Get a better degree or work harder. Don't demean yourself by putting your handout. Folks be patient. What's in my head will get out sooner or later. Hopefully not like the verbal vomit of my last post.

Realism

I remember going to the bakery at zero dark thirty in Bayamon, Puerto Rico to pick up bread a half gallon of milk. Milk on the island is about six buck a gallon, so you squeeze that plastic for every drop. Who goes and buys fresh bread any more? Latinos do, it's tradition, it`s familiar. Another thing that`s traditional and familiar is entitlement. So I am not a statistician, but I believe the percentage of people on government entitlement programs in PR are almost fifty percent. This has been going on for generations. It is now part of our culture to have a hand out and our hope dead. How do Latinos free themselves of this man-made slavery. Remember yesterday I wanted to redefine a word? I wanted to turn the word "Realism" into a political term. I think once we embrace this new political way of thinking we`ll be free. So here we go. Imagine a system where no one is expected to be equal. There are no advantages for being anything. Skin color, gone. Sexual orientation, gone, disability, gone. Any manner of leg up or affirmative action is eliminated. We live in the real world where everyone is different. I am a 6'1 270 martial artist with weapons and defensive tactics experience. How many would physically and practically be my equal in those respects? I created my advantage by working hard, training and educating myself. To use some really poor English, no one ever gave me nothing. So "Realism" is the acknowledgement that we as a species are unequal and that only through hard work, struggle, competition, and at times violent and non violent combat we can succeed. What would that do to every job interview that took place today if everyone practiced "Realism". You would look around at all the different colored faces and know that all of that doesn't mean a damn thing. That the toil you endured to get to that interview and the non violent combat you will use to convince those to hire you is what matters. Simple isn't it. If I work harder, fight harder, improve myself by any means necessary, I will be successful. More in a moment.

Fiiiiiiiiyyyaaaaaaa!

As Artie Lange used to say on the Howard Stern show. Since I have made a vow to continue these mad man rantings, I thought I would give the site a bath, change its underwear and put some cheap cologne on. When I was a child I burned down a home, set my bed on fire, and ate matches, I thought it appropriate to make fire the background. We do eat some spicy foods on the island, but our politics are volcanic. I remember my uncle threatening my fathers life over his politics and they were in the same PARTY! So sign up, hold on, stay tuned and if easily offended by a Rican who tells it like he sees it...enjoy!

You in trouble now.

So technology never stopped while I was in metamorphoses. As I was wrapped in platano leaves with cotton strings holding it all together, the brain children of the world were creating mobile apps. I now can rant at will because my smartphone is surgically attached to my hands. I haven't decided yet how many times a day I will bore you with my Shakespearean prose. I will definitely commit to once daily for now. So be forewarned tomorrow class will be on this myth of equality. I also will be redefining the word "Realism", into a new political process. Azuca!

BACK FROM THE DEAD.

I guess this is going to be my Modus Operandi, I write a few time then disappear for two year. Sorry guy my species has a two year hibernation stage. If I only could share with all who are reading this, this nightmare this economic crisis has caused to me and my family. Though we have recovered financially the emotional injuries are permanent. We will never be the same again. The near depression era financial worries caused my financial advice business to dry up and collapse. I have been out of it for nearly two years. I do not miss that circus ride not one bit. Unlike others I have a safety net through a pension I earned as a police officer to keep food on the table and creditors at bay. Some have lost the will to continue even looking for a position, I decided to create my own. After feeling sorry for myself, I said a few choice curse words and remembered a crazy dream I had about starting my own company. A couple of years ago I drew a picture on a sweat stained t-shirt, my love had grown for Jiu-Jitsu and MMA after a friend who is the strength coach for an MLB team dragged me in. So politics, that's what you want to hear about? Is not everything we are suffering with latthe results of poor and corrupt politics. Of course I fall much right of center. There is enough blame to go around. However, the path of Socialism we are being forced to walk on will lead us to our demise and then death. I have yet to hear someone talk about that the idea of equality is a fantasy. We cannot ever be equal as a species.
