Che would be proud

It was written into the senate rules for a reason in 1789. Thomas Jefferson continued his enforcement of checks and balances into the legislative body by creating the filibuster rule in the congress. Constantly the founding fathers sought to make sure that one part of our government or one party could not lord their rule over the country. The Democrats are no fans of the founding fathers or founding principles. Liberals and progressives see the Declaration of Independence and other original legal principles as outdated archaic prose from a time long dead.

  In our form of government this is the beginning of a Coup d'etat that Che Guevara would be proud of. The public and poorly informed Americans probably just shrugged their shoulders and went about thier day. Political nerds like myself shivered at the amount of sheer force now the party in power holds.

Silly conservative my lefty friends must be thinking as they read this addition of ricantotheright. The question was asked time after time yesterday, what happens when Republicans are in power and they want some uber radical ultra right-wing judicial nominee that wouldn't be objective? What happens now is that each party will pick the extremes. Each party will go for the jugular with its elections for these positions the filibuster process would have stopped. Washington, already partisan, will become a political war zone with each party trying to balance the scales with more and more hyperpartisanship. Oh where are the Libertarians when we need them?

Rumors this morning concerning the delay of the individual mandate makes all of these moves suspect. The left is using the ancient tactic of bread and circuses to appease the masses. Even if the website and the mandate is delayed, the killing strokes for the economy and our nations healthcare system will still come around eventually. Does anyone out there still believe Obama has our best interest at heart? Anybody?

What we do in this life echoes in eternity

What a line from the Russell Crowe movie Gladiator. The phrase does ring true. Whatever so little or so much we do carries forward and impacts our lives. If the action is significantly bad or good it can infect those around us. That leads to my point here.

One of the defects of liberal thought is to do first for the greater good inspite knowledge of possible collateral damage. I can point to numerous pet projects throughout the decades that liberals have begun "Causes" against and ended up with disastrous results. Nancy Pelosi famously said,"you have to pass the bill to know what's in it", suggesting that she was comfortable being ignorant of how Obamacare would impact Americans that were not needing her parties help. As the Pandoras box that the ACA is begins to open, we are just beginning to see how the progressive mindset can damage those it never intended to help.

Dr. Thomas Sowell wrote in his book "The Anointed", about how environmentalists in the 70's made it their cause to rid the world of DDT. Long story short the banning of DDT caused hundreds of thousands to die from starvation in Africa due to crop failures from insects. Humans died for the sake of bald eagle eggs in North America. To me it's not shocking that the presidents press secretary Jay Carney would just dismiss the fact that five percent of the population was losing it's affordable health insurance. The have to crack a few eggs to make an omelet to the tenth degree.

I was asked the other day by a group of men here where I right my blog if I thought that these failures are glitches or purposeful. I didn't think twice and said they were done on purpose. Most people don't know the story of how Obamacare was passed. The dirty change of events that caused it's passage. I just learned of it myself from former Massachusetts Senator Scott Brown interview on Hannity. When the Senator won the special election in 2010 the Massachusetts legislature held up his confirmation for 21 days. Fight after fight to get him seated the Democrats delayed it and got enough votes to ram Obamacare home.

We have to begin preparations in our own lives to combat and defeat this liberal agenda. Last year I wrote about being active politically by simply speaking to and trying to convince friends and family. That is now imperative of us all to start that process in earnest. 2014 is around the corner and libertarians and conservative and us realist must win.

I told you so

I told you so. My lefty friends haven't said a damn thing in nearly a month because of the calamity that has occured. I and nearly every other right winger from moderate to tea partiers for years have been saying we are sunk if we pass this crap, but you bleeding hearts just had to ram it up our back sides. I hate you liberals a little today. I always felt you were just misunderstanding or misinformed. No! You mostly are people with a God complex who believe you know better than the collective. You want to lord your anointing over America and all the while you are wanting to enslave us. Well the it's over Lefty, it's over. Your signature legislation has thrown the most powerful country in the world into a shit storm economically and now constitutionally. I won't forget you all that supported these changes. I think it will take our country at least a decade to get over this hit, and liberal you're to blame.

Ok wow that felt good. Sorry just had to vent after seeing millions of Americans now suffering without health insurance I had to let it out. Now what should Republicans do. Not a thing. We cannot get entangled in the mess by possibly trying to legislate this away. There is no other way to fix this than to repel the law all together. There are no constitutional repairs that can occur now that the law is in place. What the president did yesterday was totally out of his legal bounds to do. There will be court challenges and the president will lose. Republicans have to have some thick skin and ask the American public to wait just one year, give them them the house and the senate in a veto proof majority and all will be fixed.

I have heard of numerous plans to replace Obamacare that I like. Adding a catastrophic policy pretax to a Health Savingsa account. Allowing employers and individuals to buy health insurance across state lines. Lessen regulations that keep insurance companies from competition. Auditing and enforcing fraud in Medicare and Medicaid and Tort reform. That doesn't take 23,000 pages. Oh amd read it so you know what's in it.

Veterans, the true citizens.

I'm a huge sci-fi fan. One of my favorite movies is the little bit cheesy Starship Troopers. The movie was set in a futuristic earth at war with an alien race. The world was run like a Sparta of the future where citizenship was gained through military service. Only those that had served or are serving were referred to as citizens. I hear the book is better as always I'll have to read it one day. I guess I want to challenge what our current definition of what a citizen is. With all the attacks on our sovereignty by illegal aliens and the current administrations possible amnesty of these said illegals is just being born here in America enough anymore?

The constitution defines a citizen under the 14th amendment, "as persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside". Is that enough anymore? Should we require more if our citizens than just existence? We live in a country where our children and neighbors feel more and more entitled. Every other responsibility is being referred to as a right. Since Obama has taken power more and more Americans have forgotten the Kennedy speech where he challenged Americans to, "ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country".

My friends birth no longer serves as a right to American citizenship. People find a better feeling of responsibility when they have "Skin" in the games. Homeowners take care of their homes better than renters. Business owners take care of their businesses better than the worker. The true citizen is the veteran who has exchanged his comfort, safety and well being to afford us these rights so many feel they so deserve. My idea would propose military service for all able bodied men and women of appropriate military age.

There are precedents for this in countries around the world. The veteran is the one who helps keep the peace so we may do what we all consider normal. The veteran has worked for below minimum wage if you divide his pay by the hour. The veterans have done the dangerous and the deadly and have proven their loyalty and love of this country. The tremendous fighting force and citizenry we would have if everyone went into the military for a time to learn a skill or trade and basic self defense and weapons training. I don't see a disadvantage to this type of system. Instead of high school grads running around with no skills or resumes,  there'd be tens of thousands with some sort of training and time in the real world. The veteran should be the first in line. The first considered. The true hero you point your children to.

Nothing to say

Writers block. I've rarely had it but today seems a little harder to get the words out. Ricantotheright has been cranking out about ten to fifteen post a month for over two years. The current state of affairs globally has given me so much material to use. I've given opinion after opinion time after time. We've been complimented by friends in both sides of the political spectrum and even been banned by Blogger. Even though we are not at the end of the year I wonder where Ricantotheright should go from here. We've put out a political philosophy (Realism) and defined it, toyed with it. I've lashed out at both parties, political figures. What would I like it to become for you?

I'd like to see more interaction from you all. More followers and confrontation. I don't and won't shy away from a good argument or fight. A good amount of us prefer to run from a fight. I feel you really get to see the strengths and flaws of who you are when you're in a scrap. With the current state if bullying we need to show our future generation how to not only take a punch but how to give one. It would be amazing if I could get all of Ricantotheright' s forty-six or so countries to challege each others systems and beliefs here. Remember that Ricantotheright is also on Facebook so you can feel free to like us there and share the post I also.

Ricantotheright is going to become a brand, that's already in process. Our logo is complete and in the new year it will become our new identity on here and on products. The brand will help support a cause near and dear to me, Autism research. As the father of a child with Autism it makes sense to help organizations that could help my child in the future. Plus it goes with what American companies do everyday without the government prompting them, they share with the community.

I see Ricantotheright branching out solo soon. When that happens I will make sure of a smooth transition where I know I will get more than six hits the first day. Stay tuned is what I have to say. I will have one of the internet's most controversial figures in an interview by years end. Again thank you all for reading Ricantotheright.
