The conspiracy

I am definitely a conspiracy theorist. I may not go to the illuminati controlling the world length, but I do believe that at our core we possess an evil nature. Mankind has been able to do unspeakable horrors to one another in the name of this or that. I do not think that it is stretch to think that at the root of large governments lies the potential for a man or men to want to yield power over those under his governance. The absolute power corrupts absolutely idea is real and we have seen it over and over again in our lifetimes. Even in our system we have seen a well intentioned elected official enter promising reform then exiting in a scandal or wealthier than when  he went in.

I have been arguing lately with two young men I repect a great deal who happen to be Muslim. I spoke out on a case in Florida where a mother burned her daughter for not accepting an arraigned marriage. I eventually blamed the mothers behavior on the cultural and religious permissiveness of violence towards women. Yet all I posted was ,"really Islam", as a subject line. The conspiracy lies in this, that for years I have been posting comments and stories from several sources even pictures of the atrocities committed to women in Islamic states yet never a peep from anyone until I make a general statement against the whole. Why are Americans who pracitice Islam so afraid to confront their own? Sometimes the silence is deafening. Conflict after conflict around the world with or against an Islamist movement and we cheer them on to be free just to see them turn into a religiously run dictatorship but our citizens here don't speak up or out either out of fear or hope the same may occur here.

Now that's one. Another of my hairbrain ideas is that our current government is purposely trying to weaken us as a democracy to turn us into a European type socialist conglomerate. No way right! Right? What could possible make me think this?
