I solemnly give you the finger

How do you arrest a mother cheering because  her daughter graduated high school? I was a cop. I couldn't do it. I think I would get suspended so as not to do it. OK they told everyone they would be escorted out if they did, but to cuff her right there while her daughter is getting her diploma, damn. Now they even regulate our emotions under penalty of law. Yell too loud in the streets, disorderly conduct. Spit on the ground, disorderly conduct. So could you give someone the finger in relative safety anymore, I doubt it. This is the example of what giving the government an inch they take a mile. The US government has taken so many inches they are now flying UAV aka drones over us sky's as acknowledged by the EPA last week. The EPA began using drones to spy on American farmers to help enforce environmental laws.

We do it to ourselves. We fear the unknown and the unseen and we just hand over our freedoms to politicians. If it scares us, make a law. If it offends us, make a law. How many laws does a person need to help them manage their lives? Would you need any if immediate punishment was allowed for violating someone else's freedoms or comfort or property? Again what we ceded to the government will never be regained. As a cop I hated giving tickets. I always thought about the financial impact of a docket in a person pocket. I felt a chance and discretion was most of the time what justice I dispensed first.

Sorry for the late post I am trying hard to get my purple belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu so Wednesdays post my be regularly late. I was using a new program so sorry for the giant run on sentence that was the last post. So maybe in your own home. Go to a room where the windows are covered, hide yourself in the closet and quietly raise your hand and give our restrictive law a hidden finger in protest.
